Feel free to submit your question now or stop by this afternoon!
 | (09/14 16:07 PM) Hey guys, hope Week 1 was great, and we still have two games to go. Let's get started.
(09/14 16:07 PM) chris, Telford Pa - i'm looking to upgrade my WR's...i have A. Johnson, D. Jackson, D. Mason & C. Henry...i have been offered H. Ward for R. Rice. I currently have @ RB...J. Addai, M. Barber, C. Williams, J. Lewis. Would this be a good trade???
 | (09/14 16:08 PM) I wouldn't make that trade. I would counter with Cadillac Williams for Ward. That's better value on your end. Rice should be solid this year, and Williams has that injury history with his knees.
(09/14 16:08 PM) Walter, Taunton,Ma - Jamey, With Mcnabb out, is Bret Favre a good back up until he comes back..Favre plays@Detroit and home against the 49ers the next two weeks?? Or should I pick up off the wire..Available is Campbell,Hill,Cassel,Orton,Leftwich or Sanchez..Thanks I really need your help...Walter
 | (09/14 16:09 PM) Favre should be OK, especially for Week 2 after Drew Brees just passed for six touchdowns against the Lions. Of the group you mentioned, if you have an extra roster spot for three QBs, I would add Campbell for this week (against the Cardinals) or Sanchez long-term.
(09/14 16:09 PM) James, Providence, RI - I have a 4pt lead going into tonight's games (PPR league). My opponent is playing Vincent Jackson and Lee Evans. I have San Diego DEF and Fred Jackson. Would D. Sproles be a better play for me than Fred Jackson?
 | (09/14 16:10 PM) I'm not a big Jackson fan for this week, but he will get more touches than Sproles. That said, if the Chargers go up early, Sproles could be there in the end. Still, go with the guaranteed touches with Jackson.
(09/14 16:10 PM) Tyler, P0rtland, CT - I d0nt kn0w wh0 t0 start at QB f0r week 2. I have Jay Cutler vs. Steelers, Brady Quinn vs. Br0nc0s, and Jamarcus Russell vs. Cheifs. 0r d0 y0u think Kevin K0lb w0uld be a g00d pickup vs. the Saints if Mcnabb is 0ut?
 | (09/14 16:10 PM) Stick with Cutler. Remember, Kerry Collins had a good day against the Steelers in Week 1, and Cutler should bounce back.
(09/14 16:11 PM) nick, cali - two part question. do i have any reason to worry about steven jackson's, brandon jacob's or willie parker's performances or can i count on them on consistant basis this year? also, with gonzalez going down who would be the better pick up, gage, burleson or gacon?
 | (09/14 16:12 PM) I wouldn't hit the panic button, but it's obviously something to keep an eye on. Parker is the one that concerns me the most. I like Gage and Burleson the most of this group, and Gage is the safer pick since he's the No. 1 option for the Titans.
(09/14 16:12 PM) Mark, OKC - LT and P.Thomas are my starters..resv are P.Hillis,D. Sproles,W.McGahee, I didnt start willis because of last year. What would you do? I draft J.Igelesias for a buck. Would drop for knox or hold on? my rece are ward, bowe, avery and back ups kelly, meachem, and Iglesias.
 | (09/14 16:13 PM) With Thomas out, I would drop Iglesias for a RB, hopefully Mike Bell if he's there. If not, take a chance on Correll Buckhalter.
(09/14 16:13 PM) Brian V., WI - Jamey I need your help man. I have McNabb as my qb and know he is hurt. My back up is Pennington I dont know what his schedule is but is he good enough for a week or two. The free agent guys are Hill, Shaun,Orton, Kyle ,Quinn, Brady ,Bulger, Marc ,Russell, JaMarcus ,Leftwich, Byron. Should I pick up one off them guys instead. Also kolb is a free agent to. thanks
 | (09/14 16:14 PM) I like Hill of this group as a Week 2 replacement for McNabb. He has Seattle at home, and that's a matchup where he should perform well.
(09/14 16:14 PM) Adam, Atlanta, GA - Who do you see as the best waiver wire pickups based on their week 1 performances?
 | (09/14 16:14 PM) Good question Adam. You can read that in my Waiver Wire column on Tuesday. But as of now, we're talking quarterbacks
(09/14 16:14 PM) Jeff Hirstius, Mandeville, LA - I have both Eddie Royal and Steve Smith... Delhomme looked awful and I know Orton was injured, but should I be a little worried about my prospects?
 | (09/14 16:15 PM) I would be more concerned with Smith than Royal. Delhomme has now struggled in his past two meaningful games going back to the playoff loss, and if he can't get Smith the ball, he'll be out of there. That would leave Smith with Josh McCown or Matt Moore, and that's not a good thing. Be patient, but hope Delhomme gets better in a hurry.
(09/14 16:16 PM) Chris, Myrtle Beach, SC - Will Jeremy Macklin overtake Kevin Curtis at any point this season? I took him and Hakeem Nicks late in my draft. Nicks is hurt now. Who will be this year's "Desean Jackson?"
 | (09/14 16:17 PM) I don't know if there will a DeSean Jackson, but there could be a good rookie WR in Kenny Britt. He played the best in Week 1, and if you are in a deep league, Britt could be worth adding in place of Maclin or Nicks, who is 2-3 weeks with a foot injury.
(09/14 16:17 PM) jim, darwin mn - in week two who would you start at qb romo or hasselbeck ?
 | (09/14 16:17 PM) Romo remains too good to bench, but keep an eye on his ankle injury. If he's limited in practice during the week, go with Hasselbeck.
(09/14 16:17 PM) Matt, WV - Suddenly, I am in a bit of a QB quandry. My two QBs are McNabb and Cassel. Who is an adequate replacement for this weekend. Our waiver wire has Garrard, Leftwich, Sanchez, Stafford, Quinn, or Hill. Any thoughts? Should I just hold my nose and pick one?
 | (09/14 16:18 PM) I would go with Garrard at home against the Cardinals. Remember, Arizona was terrible last season with 36 passing touchdowns allowed. Garrard will play better than he did in Week 2.
(09/14 16:18 PM) scott, cranston,ri - I have Matt Schaub and Jay Cutler as my QB's. Should I try to make a trade to get a better QB or should i wait it out and see? Thanks
 | (09/14 16:19 PM) You should wait it out. Schaub and Cutler will come around, especially Schaub who just had a touch matchup against the Jets. Unless there's an offer out there that blows you away, then make a deal. But giving up talent for a QB when you already have two good passers doesn't make sense. These guys will start playing better, and you don't want to hit the panic button after Week 1.
(09/14 16:20 PM) R. Otto, Severna Park, Maryland - This may sound stupid, but someone in my league just dropped Willie Parker. I have Mendenhall, but without a doubt I should flip those around, correct? And what is Willie Parker's season going to be like this year?
 | (09/14 16:20 PM) Jump on Parker now. He's not great, but he's still the starter in Pittsburgh. You would much rather have Parker than Mendenhall at this point.
(09/14 16:21 PM) Denise, Jacksonville - Keep Gonzalez? Reserves are C. Henry and Holt, but D. Henderson and Clayton are available.
 | (09/14 16:21 PM) Don't panic with Gonzalez just yet. I would definitely keep him, especially if he's back in two weeks as the early prognosis indicates. If you need to drop someone, get rid of Henry or Holt for Clayton.
(09/14 16:22 PM) Brent, Massachusetts - I was offered a trade, i can get Ray Rice and Kevin Smith for Turner, I have turner, should i do it?
 | (09/14 16:22 PM) I think that's a great trade since Smith and Rice are quality starters, and even though Turner can be great, I don't see him playing at the same level as last season. Make it happen.
(09/14 16:23 PM) Alex, Chicago - Hey Jaime, keep up the great work. Quick question.. In a PPR league, who shiuld I start next week Julius Jones, Eddie Royal or Pierre Thomas? Pick 2! Thanks! Also, should we limit Royal's expectations for this year based on the performance in week 1?
 | (09/14 16:23 PM) Well, with Thomas hurt, you're going to start Jones and Royal. Royal will get better, and he needs Kyle Orton to be healthy for that to happen.
(09/14 16:24 PM) Lester Burnham, Kentucky - Will Slaton bounce back against the Titans?
 | (09/14 16:24 PM) Slaton did well against the Titans last year if I remember correctly, so you should keep him active. It's hard to bench someone like Slaton, at least now, even with a tough matchup.
(09/14 16:24 PM) Marques, Arlington, VA - After seeing Barber split time with 2 guys. What do you think of him? Is he a top 15 back?
 | (09/14 16:25 PM) Barber will be fine. Don't worry about him going forward. Tashard Choice was playing toward the end of the game, and Felix Jones will get his touches. Still, Barber is the main option there.
(09/14 16:25 PM) BN, West Palm Beach, FL - Hi Jamey. Should the Jets defense be credited with a shutout, assuming your league scores based on DSTPA. Live scoring does not reflect a shutout - the Texans' lone TD came from a fumble return while on defense.
 | (09/14 16:26 PM) Unfortunately when a team gives up points, no matter how it happens, it goes against the DST. It's just a technicality.
(09/14 16:26 PM) mike m, Chicago, Il - I know it is early but I think I need to drop Reggie Bush and Hixon. My backs white, addai, mendenhall, bradshaw, bush-I can get magahee. My recievers r, moss, fitzgerald, royal, hester miles, TE-daniels, and hixon. I can get britt. please advise and thanks.
 | (09/14 16:27 PM) Don't drop Bush at all. If you want to drop someone, drop Mendenhall. Britt for Hixon isn't a bad move if you want to do that.
(09/14 16:27 PM) scmclaug, chicago IL - How much should we be worried about Cutler's performance? Is Earl Bennett going to be a legit WR2/WR3 given number of targets?
 | (09/14 16:28 PM) I would add Bennett if you have the roster space. He'll be better in a PPR format, but he and Cutler have a good rapport. And Cutler will eventually get it figured it out. Don't worry.
(09/14 16:28 PM) Art Ross, Hamilton, New Jersey - Should I start Matt Forte and Ronnie Brown again next week?
 | (09/14 16:29 PM) Yes, even with Forte playing the Steelers. You can't bench him yet even with the matchup. As for Brown, he has a great matchup against the Colts. Indianapolis can't stop the run, and the Dolphins will lean on Brown this week.
(09/14 16:29 PM) Marcus, Atlanta, GA - With McNabb possibly out a few weeks I picked up Shaun Hill and Trent Edwards. Which one should i keep? And also Matt Shaub is on waivers, i've placed a claim for him, think he's gonna be healthy?
 | (09/14 16:29 PM) I would drop Edwards for Schaub, and that's a great move. Go with Hill for Week 2 against Seattle if you don't get Schaub.
(09/14 16:30 PM)Steven, North Carolina - Will Moreno be a viable fantasy option in 2009?
 | (09/14 16:30 PM) I don't know if he will be based on his injuries, and he was hurt again this week. Hold onto him because of his potential, but we told you Moreno was a potential bust coming into the year.
(09/14 16:30 PM)Pete W., Milwaukee, WI - Is Pierre Thomas going to be in a timeshare with Mike Bell when he comes back?
 | (09/14 16:31 PM) That's the way it looks based on how Bell played in Week 1. Sean Payton said Bell has earned the right to carry the ball. Thomas will be productive, but his value is slipping the more time he misses and the better Bell plays.
(09/14 16:32 PM)brett, bellingham - wk2 who should i start warner or romo
 | (09/14 16:32 PM) I would lean toward Romo, but you have to check his ankle. If he's 100 percent he's a must-start.
(09/14 16:32 PM)Ray, Chicago, IL - Do you think Antonio Bryant will start putting up numbers like he did last year? I have Justine Gauge on the bench and am considering starting him again next week instead of Bryant.
 | (09/14 16:33 PM) No, Bryant won't be as good as last year. I like Gage better, and Bryant is injured again with his knee.
(09/14 16:33 PM)Tray, Baltimore, MD - Jamey, Carson Palmer had 0 TDs, 2 ints, and a pedestrian completion pct/yardage total yesterday. I expected him to be a great value pick in round 8. What are your thoughts on this bengal quarterback as a starter going forward?
 | (09/14 16:34 PM) He'll get better. Be patient. Palmer was coming back from an ankle injury and looked rusty. He'll start to improve.
(09/14 16:34 PM)Dave, New York - I have Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Terrell Owens, Santonio Holmes and Brandon Marshall, looking at trading Owens in order to upgrade at RB, will Holmes and Marshall be solid enough to start at #3 week in and week out?
 | (09/14 16:35 PM) I think so, but why not wait until how Owens does in Week 1 before making the decision. The better move could be to trade Holmes or Marshall depending on what you are getting in return.
(09/14 16:36 PM)JP, Cleveland, Ohio - Need your help Jamey! Who should I start at RB for week 2? I have M. Turner, T. Jones, and W. Parker and J. Adaii. Your advice?
 | (09/14 16:37 PM) It depends on your scoring system, but I would go with Turner and Addai. Jones has a tough matchup against the Patriots, and Parker looked awful in Week 1.
(09/14 16:37 PM)Micheal, Cdn - Think Eli Manning will be a good replacement for McNabb if he doesn't play?
 | (09/14 16:38 PM) Eli is going to be up and down as always. He's not horrible if he plays like he did in Week 1, so if you have Eli don't feel horrible if McNabb is out. That said, Eli could always implode against the Cowboys this week, so be careful.
(09/14 16:38 PM)Jay, ny - I dropped Ginn Jr and picked up Flacco...I have Farve and Schaub...hoping to use someone as trade bait was this a good pickup?
 | (09/14 16:39 PM) This was an excellent pickup. Flacco continues to impress me, and he was my best call this week in Start 'Em and Sit 'Em. You may end up starting Flacco for the rest of the year with Schaub or Favre being traded.
(09/14 16:39 PM)Cato, Farmville, VA - Hey Jamey, I was excited about my TEs' performances this weekend: Carlson and Shockey. My league starts 2 rbs, 2 wrs and one rb/wr/te. Should I consider starting both TEs down the road (my other flex options are larry johnson, lee evans)? Thanks!
 | (09/14 16:40 PM) I think you can depending on the matchups, sure. Carlson and Shockey should be great most weeks, but LJ and Evans will have their moments. It's always better to have choices, and you have some good ones.
(09/14 16:41 PM)Robin, Columbus OH - Would you pick up Mark Clayton, Miles Austin or Justin Gage off waivers if you had to choose?
 | (09/14 16:42 PM) I would rank them Gage, Clayton, Austin, with Clayton and Gage very close. Austin is a big-play threat, but the other two could be more consistent. Gage gets the slight nod based on his health.
(09/14 16:42 PM)LRH, Washington, DC - Should I hit the panic button on M. Turner? I drafted him with the 5th pick, but he really didn't produce on Sunday. Will he have more of a #2 RB numbers this year???
 | (09/14 16:43 PM) If you followed us this preseason, you know I wasn't high on Turner coming into the year. That said, I still expected him to be a Top 15 RB, just not Top 5. Don't hit the panic button yet, but just be aware he might not play at the same level as last year when he had easier opponents.
(09/14 16:43 PM)Steve, phila. pa - Waiver wire mcgahee or benson
 | (09/14 16:43 PM) Benson. You're talking about a starter vs. a backup.
(09/14 16:43 PM)Dan, Pittsburgh, PA - Would you start Fred Jackson or Wes Welker tonight?
 | (09/14 16:44 PM) I would wait until the inactives come out and make the switch, and we'll have them first. If both are active, go with Welker.
(09/14 16:45 PM)Dano, Eugene, OR - Jamey, would you drop Earl Bennett for Nate Burleson?
 | (09/14 16:45 PM) I think both guys are in the same boat as No. 2 options for the respective teams. I'd hold onto Bennett for now because he has a history with Cutler.
(09/14 16:46 PM)TA, Detroit - who would you start in Wk 2: Flacco or Ryan?
 | (09/14 16:46 PM) I'd wait to see how San Diego does tonight since they play Baltimore next week, but right now I'd start Ryan against Carolina.
(09/14 16:47 PM)Craig, Dalla, TX - Whats your take on M. Clayton on TB. He had a great game? Will it continue?
 | (09/14 16:47 PM) I wouldn't count on him for consistent production. I would avoid him for now.
(09/14 16:47 PM)Jeff, Colorado State - Jamey, who would you want as your #2 RB behind MJD, Grant, Jacobs or Ronnie?
 | (09/14 16:48 PM) I like all three guys, but you have to stick with Grant for this week at home against the Bengals.
(09/14 16:48 PM)Jonathan, Tulsa, OK - Quick: PLEASE Pick two RB's to keep on my roster. Mike Bell, Tim Hightower, Lendale White, Lesean McCoy, or Donald Brown.
 | (09/14 16:48 PM) Hightower and White. All the others depend on injuries happening or guys staying hurt.
(09/14 16:49 PM)Paul, Boston - Which free agent qb would you pick up Flacco or Orton? My starter is Cutler
 | (09/14 16:49 PM) Flacco. He's looked great so far and could be solid all season.
(09/14 16:49 PM)Garrett, Rochester, NY - Who to play PPR - Welker or McFadden (Don't trust Belichek at all)
 | (09/14 16:49 PM) If you don't like Belichick then go with McFadden. That's a safe alternative to Welker.
(09/14 16:50 PM)Chris, Seattle - Was Cadilac Williams a fluke this week or could he be a Consistant #3 RB? I am trying to decide between Him, W. Parker or Buckholter.
 | (09/14 16:50 PM) Keep Cadillac and drop Buckhalter.
 | (09/14 16:50 PM) OK, rapid fire time for the last 10 minutes ...
(09/14 16:50 PM)Marc, Charlottetown, PEI - Drop Donnie Avery for Cadillac Williams? My team is deep at both WR and RB
 | (09/14 16:50 PM) Yes
(09/14 16:50 PM)Jason, Irvine, CA - Would you drop Antonio Bryant for Bennett, Gage or Crayton in a PPR league?
 | (09/14 16:50 PM) Yes, pick up Gage
(09/14 16:51 PM)Big Al, Nutley, NJ - Should I be concerned about Aaron Rodgers and that Greenbay offensive line?
 | (09/14 16:51 PM) No, Rodgers will be fine.
(09/14 16:51 PM)Ryan, Ankeny, IA - In a 12 team league, somehow Keller, Carlson and Shockey are available. Who do you like the rest of the way?
 | (09/14 16:51 PM) In this order, Carlson, Shockey, Keller.
(09/14 16:51 PM)AGA, Michigan - drop Berrian for D. Henderson?
 | (09/14 16:51 PM) No
(09/14 16:51 PM)AL, Nutley, NJ - Crabtree? any value at this point?
 | (09/14 16:51 PM) No, avoid him.
(09/14 16:52 PM)jlp, compton - wk2 starter at qb - warner or hasselbeck?
 | (09/14 16:52 PM) Hasselbeck
(09/14 16:52 PM)tony, chicago - Chansi Stuckey a good pickup or just a one week fluke
 | (09/14 16:52 PM) I wouldn't drop someone good for him, but if you have an extra roster spot, add him.
(09/14 16:53 PM)Mike Fisha, Chicago, IL - Collins or Edwards?
 | (09/14 16:53 PM) Collins
(09/14 16:53 PM)Marc, New York, NY - What do you do with Anthony Gonzalez?
 | (09/14 16:53 PM) Keep him. He's too good to drop.
(09/14 16:53 PM)Dave, Louisville, KY - Start Brandon Marshall or Laurent Robinson wk2?
 | (09/14 16:54 PM) Marshall. He has Cleveland.
(09/14 16:54 PM)Ryan, NY - Avery, Clayton, or Britt?
 | (09/14 16:54 PM) Avery, Clayton, Britt in that order.
(09/14 16:54 PM)Rob, tampa - Whose a better option off waivers Devery Henderson or Justin gage? We get point per reception in our league.
 | (09/14 16:54 PM) Gage in a PPR
(09/14 16:55 PM)scott, detroit - start Ward or Hightower as RB#2 this week?
 | (09/14 16:55 PM) Ward in a standard league, Hightower in a PPR
(09/14 16:55 PM)Dean, Houston, TX - PPR League: Carlson, L. Coles, Earl Bennet or Steven SMith at WR/TE flex position?
 | (09/14 16:55 PM) Carlson
(09/14 16:55 PM)trcon, Buffalo, ny - Cutler or Palmer?
 | (09/14 16:56 PM) Cutler in Week 2
(09/14 16:56 PM)Russ, NY - Trade Caddy and Holt for M Lynch and R White??
 | (09/14 16:56 PM) If you get Lynch and White, absolutely
(09/14 16:56 PM)Mike, Naperville, IL - Flacco or Shaub the rest of the way?
 | (09/14 16:56 PM) Schaub
(09/14 16:56 PM)bill, ma - c williams or fred taylor
 | (09/14 16:56 PM) Cadillac
(09/14 16:56 PM)Steve, Deland,FL - Would you drop Ginn for Manningham or Bennett
 | (09/14 16:57 PM) No
(09/14 16:57 PM)Ray, chicago, il - Barber or Ward in ppr league
 | (09/14 16:57 PM) Barber
(09/14 16:57 PM)Tim, NY - Drop 1: Moreno, D. Brown, B. Wells
 | (09/14 16:57 PM) Tough one, but Moreno right now.
(09/14 16:57 PM)Dean, Houston, TX - Portis or Leon Washington for Flex, PPR?
 | (09/14 16:57 PM) Portis in Week 2
(09/14 16:58 PM)Marge, KC, MO - Crayton, S. Moss or Evans next week?
 | (09/14 16:58 PM) Evans for Week 2
(09/14 16:58 PM)JB, Santa Monica, CA - How would you rank: Derrick Mason, Lance Moore, Steve Smith (Car)? Thanks!
 | (09/14 16:58 PM) Still like Smith, Mason and Moore despite Smith's struggles. He's still No. 1.
(09/14 16:58 PM)boomba, det mich - which denver rb would you take a flyer on
 | (09/14 16:58 PM) Buckhalter
