Fantasy Football does not take holidays off.
Senior Fantasy Writer Dave Richard takes your post-Thanksgiving questions on Friday, Nov. 27 at 3 p.m. ET.
Feel free to submit a question in advance or stop by Friday afternoon.
 | (11/27 15:01 PM) Good afternoon everybody!
 | (11/27 15:04 PM) Welcome to our Week 12 Fantasy Football chat. Lots of news, lots of things to talk about to help YOU get ready to win your Fantasy games and get you into the playoffs. As per our NEW policy, our Friday chats will have a fun theme. Last week we had a good time with WWF-themed questions and chatters. This week, let's go with Adam Sandler movie characters. So get your WHOOPIDEE-DOO on and let's get to Week 12 topics!
(11/27 15:04 PM) Mark, Surf City, USA - LeSean McCoy or Bernard Scott Sunday?
 | (11/27 15:06 PM) Hey Mark. Bernard Scott's status is tied to Cedric Benson's. Benson practiced today and is hoping to play on Sunday. I'd say he has a chance, which would mean that Scott's reps will be limited to, say, 15 or so. If Benson is active, McCoy is your guy. If Benson is inactive, Scott is your guy. Come back Sunday to CBSSports.com where we get the inactives first so you'll know what to do.
(11/27 15:07 PM) Chasing penguins, Billyville - Injuries are killing me, I have Benson/Scott, Forsett and J Charles, I need two rb's and a flex, I have d. bess on my bench, any help...or dark horses off waivers?
 | (11/27 15:08 PM) Oh I see what's going on around here! I'm so sorry to interrupt!! Your Bengals RB dilemma is tougher because you have both guys. I think Scott is probably a bit safer, but maybe you should start both and Charles this weekend, assuming Benson plays. I don't mind Charles as a flex and Forsett is supposedly going to make way for Julius Jones (grrr).
(11/27 15:08 PM) Bobby Boucher, Jr., Somewhere in the swamps - Will Matt Ryan have another good game this weekend?
 | (11/27 15:10 PM) Bobby, Ryan's history against the Bucs is awful -- no touchdowns, four INTs in two games. And Roddy White also hasn't done much in his time with the Falcons. But the Bucs stink this season and Ryan plays better at home, so I say you can take all the history and put it in Coach Klein's green notebook! Like the Mud Dogs, look for Ryan and White to step up on Sunday -- I like Ryan as a low-end No. 1 QB.
(11/27 15:10 PM) dave, seattle, wa - hi, pick two, colston, coles, or boldin?
 | (11/27 15:10 PM) Well Dave, Coles has been battling a chest injury and is questionable. So I'd go ahead and sit him down for your other two stud receivers.
(11/27 15:10 PM) Rich, Ft Myers, Fl. - Tough call Dave please help. M Crabtree or P Harvin, I don't have a clue
 | (11/27 15:11 PM) Hey Rich ... enjoying some delicious Aurelio's Pizza from your neck of the woods today ... I like Crabtree more. Better matchup against the awful Jaguars defense. Actually, I like both receivers but Crabtree is who you should go with.
(11/27 15:11 PM) You can do it guy, sclsu - Roddy white or burleson?
 | (11/27 15:12 PM) Love the name. I like White better than Burleson, but both should be solid this Sunday. YOU CAN DO EET!!!
(11/27 15:12 PM) Little Nicky, Hell - Dave - can Jamaal Charles be an everydown back and is he the future in KC?
 | (11/27 15:15 PM) Nicky, I don't know if Charles is the future in Kansas City, but the coaches are trying to figure it out now. I don't see him as anything more than a third-down back, but if he proves worthy this season he might earn a bigger role.
(11/27 15:15 PM) Steve, Boston - Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. 1/2 PPR..Need 2 RB's, 2 WR's, and FLEX. Chris Johnson, Steven Jackson, Ray Rice, Charles, R. Wayne, Vincent Jackson, and Sidney Rice. Thanks
 | (11/27 15:17 PM) Holy cow, you've got a monster team! Chris Johnson is a must, and Ray Rice is too because of the PPRs. At receiver I think you have to go with Jackson and Wayne. So it comes down to Sidney Rice, who has been an animal, and Steven Jackson. I'd go with Rice -- Jackson's history against Seattle is good but it's not dominant, and Sidney Rice has been playing out of his mind. I'd sit Jackson, who didn't practice all week and has a sore back.
(11/27 15:17 PM) Billy Madison, Twitterville - Still chasing that imaginary penguin!! Lost R. Brown so I'm starting Boldin vs TEN at Flex and S. Jax at RB. Mendenhall, Forsette, Cotchery, and Wells on my bench. Do you agree with my starters and how would you play it if Jax is out and J. Jones is out as well?
 | (11/27 15:19 PM) Oh Billy, Billy Boy. If Jackson is out and Julius Jones is out, Forsett is easily your best choice. But I can't stand Mendenhall this week and Wells has a tough matchup too. Cotchery does as well. I think you'll just have to suck it up and go with Mendenhall if Jones is active and S-Jax is not.
(11/27 15:19 PM) MelB, New York, NY - Quick one please... Chose one, Avant against WASH or Breaston against TEN. Thanks
 | (11/27 15:19 PM) Breaston is who I'd go with. Last week was a fluke for him as the Cardinals barely threw at all in the second half. He'll bounce back.
(11/27 15:19 PM) Terence, columbia, sc - Sinsay,
Which two WR would you pick to start; T.O., Steve Smith, Chris Chambers, or Jerricho Cotchery?
 | (11/27 15:21 PM) Hey Terence. Chambers makes the cut because of how explosive he's been and his familiarity with the Chargers matchup helps. I think you might have to ride with Owens as the other receiver because his matchup isn't as bad as Smith's and Cotchery's. Smith will get the Darrelle Revis treatment this week -- that's not so good.
(11/27 15:21 PM) Ben, Montreal - Just saw that Peterson is now listed as questionable for Sunday. If he doesn't go -- Rock Cartwright v. PHI or Chester Taylor v. CHI?
 | (11/27 15:22 PM) Yes Ben, Peterson is sick and is dealing with an ankle injury. I would be stunned if he didn't play on Sunday, but there's some concern growing. Obviously you did the smart thing and picked up Taylor, and that's who I would start in Peterson's place. Cartwright might only be helpful in PPR leagues.
(11/27 15:22 PM) Robbie Hart, my aunts basement - Do I start wells or j stew.
 | (11/27 15:23 PM) An awesome Adam Sandler movie reference! Nice job! I love J Stew this week against the Jets -- their run defense is getting sloppy and Stewart has had 11 days to rest that Achilles. He'll do well this week.
(11/27 15:24 PM) Tyler, TX - Last starter, Brandon Gibson, Julius Jones, or Santana Moss?
 | (11/27 15:24 PM) Hey Tyler. I like Jones if he plays, but if he's out Gibson is actually your guy. Moss' history against the Eagles is unbearable -- I wouldn't recommend him in any leagues, period.
(11/27 15:24 PM) cindy, md - would you trade gore for v.jackson
 | (11/27 15:25 PM) There's still trading going on in Fantasy play? I like the move, especially if you have the RBs on your bench to make up for losing Gore.
(11/27 15:26 PM) Bob Barker, golf course - Vjax break out of slump this week? pick 2 ,msw, shady. or v-jax. tks
 | (11/27 15:27 PM) The Price is Wrong .... Bob. Eh, I can't use all of the lines verbatim here. You know how it is. Anyway, Jackson should do well against a bad Kansas City secondary, and I'd go with him and McCoy (Shady) over Sims-Walker.
(11/27 15:27 PM) Bradlou, Miltonn NY - Do you think that J. Snelling will get the majority of the carries for the Falcons this week? I was thinking of using him over Mendenhall this week.
 | (11/27 15:28 PM) I think he will Brad, even if Turner returns. The one thing about all these RB injuries -- their teams won't want to rush them back and risk injuring them further. So Benson and Turner might not see their typical workload. Snelling is a safe bet as a No. 2 Fantasy RB but might also completely crush the Buccaneers if Turner plays even less than expected.
 | (11/27 15:29 PM) If you have a Fantasy 'start or sit' question, just check out my rankings at: http://bit.ly/vZNx5 and you will find your answer fast! You won't have to wait for me to answer your question! Our theme for today's chat is Adam Sandler movie characters, so feel free to parade yourself as someone from his movies.
(11/27 15:30 PM) Grambo, Toronto - Hey Dave would it be crazy to sit Peterson this week and start Bernard Scott if Ced Benson is out? How serious is his injury? thanks
 | (11/27 15:32 PM) Here's the latest on Peterson, straight from our Rapid Reporter who is in Minneapolis: Peterson was sent home sick on Friday ans is questionable for the game because he was sick and because his ankle is tweaked. He was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday and didn't go at all today. My hunch? He plays, but maybe not as well as you might expect against the Bears. Remember, he has massacred the Bears (figuratively) in four career games.
 | (11/27 15:32 PM) I'd still start him over Scott if Ced Ben is out, by the way.
(11/27 15:32 PM) Lets Go Pitt, Panther Town - J Stewart or J Charles
 | (11/27 15:34 PM) I like them both, Wannstedt fan. They're ranked on top of each other in my rankings, but I think Stewart has the better chance to score. I'd go with him over Charles this week.
(11/27 15:34 PM) Julia (almost Gulia), Billy Idol groupie - Do you think Jay Cutler will have multiple interceptions again this week?
 | (11/27 15:35 PM) Yes, multiple interceptions, maybe a fumble and lots of huffy pouting as he walks with his head down to the sideline. If you get points for that stuff in Fantasy, go ahead and start him. If you get points for yards and touchdowns, consider other options.
(11/27 15:35 PM) Tony, Boston - Send you a PIZZA!!! Week 16 should i be worried about Peyton sitting even 1/2 the game. I can get Alex Smith vs Detroit for week 16. If so do i drop RUN DMC or Shonne Greene? TY
 | (11/27 15:36 PM) I believe this is the second week in a row I've been promised food and no one has delivered. Don't make a fat man angry, Tony. I love Alex Smith as an insurance policy for the postseason Fantasy run -- you should add him to your roster immediately.
(11/27 15:36 PM) Brutus the Barber Beefcake, The Salon - Zohan and I are between clients and wondering who to pick up at TE and kicker for the rest of the season, especially weeks 15/16. Also, who to play each week at WR3 between Garcon (or Gonzalez) and Kevin Walter.
 | (11/27 15:37 PM) Now that's just flat-out creative. Kudos to you, Sir (or Ma'am). I don't have a trusty list of TE or K options for you but our IDMT (Individual Defensive Matchup Tracker) will go a long way in helping you. You can find it on the front of our Fantasy site. As for your No. 3 WR, it's Garcon in a landslide.
(11/27 15:37 PM) Billy Madison, in a 747 - Since, we let our 1st class passengers do pretty much whatever they want...Is Turner actually gunna go? Why would the team EVEN push the envelope...against the Bucs...If Turner is out, how much will Norwood cut into Snelling's touches? Thx Big Dave!
 | (11/27 15:39 PM) Kind of mixing two Sandler movies here but I guess it's cool. You and I agree on Turner and his status. If I'm Mike Smith, I let Turner rest up. And I do something about my hair. But Norwood will definitely play and could see as many as eight touches from Snelling. I'd still go with Snelling there and not consider Norwood much more than a low-end desperation option.
(11/27 15:39 PM) Longfellow Deeds, in the Helicopter, cheerio - Will Housh actually have a productive day on Sunday?
 | (11/27 15:40 PM) He's playing St. Louis, you kind of can't help but think he will. I like him as a No. 2 Fantasy WR but not much else. He's better in PPR formats than standard formats for sure.
(11/27 15:40 PM) Midnightriders, DETROIT,MICH - Hey Dave should i start sims walker over p.garcon and which would you start at rb maroney or bernard scott...thks
 | (11/27 15:41 PM) Rider in D-Town, I like Garcon over Sims-Walker. He's been coming on strong and the Texans will have trouble with him. I'd go with Scott if Benson is out, Maroney if Benson is in.
 | (11/27 15:41 PM) If you have a Fantasy 'start or sit' question, just check out my rankings at: http://bit.ly/vZNx5 and you will find your answer fast! You won't have to wait for me to answer your question! Our theme for today's chat is Adam Sandler movie characters, so feel free to parade yourself as someone from his movies.
(11/27 15:41 PM) Steve, New orleans - Hey Dave. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. I need your help. Pick two, L. Evans,J Cotchery, R. Meachem, J. Avant and B. Berrian. Thanks for the advice
 | (11/27 15:42 PM) Steve, thanks for the Thanksgiving wishes. I'd start Evans and Cotchery this week and hope for the best. Most of your receivers kind of look the same -- on the cusp of being good but saddled with some negatives. Evans and Cotchery are the safest.
(11/27 15:42 PM) Zac, Winston-Salem, NC - I have snelling, Turner, and jamaal charles....out of those three, which one should i starT?
 | (11/27 15:44 PM) My hunch is that Snelling is your best choice. Turner might not play a lot and Charles is good, but Snelling is better.
(11/27 15:44 PM) Bob, Boston - NOT A START QUESTION...Have Peyton..Week 16 should i be worried about him sitting at all? If so I can pickup Alex Smith vs Detroit and would have to drop either Run DMC or Shonne Greene. Advice please. TY
 | (11/27 15:44 PM) This is our pizza guy again ... you better come through! I'd cut Greene, citing McFadden's upped reps yesterday and his modest production.
(11/27 15:45 PM) Dirty Deeds, Dirty Socks - Even though I dont want to change your socks I was wondering if u can still help me decide if I should bench a guy Forte who I have been playing all year in favor of McCoy. This is a PPR league, thanks.
 | (11/27 15:46 PM) Yes, this is a good week to do such a thing. McCoy should catch at least a couple of passes this week and has a good, not great, matchup against the Redskins. I'd like him better if Albert Haynesworth doesn't play. Forte's history against the Vikings is good, but guess what? He's been bad this season. I like Forte as a person but his game is in the tank. McCoy is the safer start.
(11/27 15:46 PM) Dave Buznik, Still in Anger Management Class - Dave, I have Slaton, Forsett and Scott, which one do I pick? Need a win to nab last playoff spot!
 | (11/27 15:48 PM) Solid Sandler movie choice! I would go with Scott this week. Slaton is still sharing carries, as is Forsett. Even if Scott shares, he's going to be useful. The Bengals will be conservative with Benson.
(11/27 15:48 PM) Ken Schwab, San Jose CA - I need help with my quarterbacks this week. I am blessed to have Drew Brees, Matt Schaub and Brett Farve. We are in a keeper league, I have had Farve since 1990. I am thinking of going with his matchup this week. But, I am not sure , can you help me make the choice?
thanks, Ken
 | (11/27 15:50 PM) That's a wild keeper league. I'd stick with Brees -- one interesting nugget on Favre: When he was with the Packers, Lovie Smith had his number from 2005 to 2007, holding him to two touchdowns and 13 interceptions. I doubt the Bears will be overly successful on Sunday but it's possible. Brees is safer, especially at home.
 | (11/27 15:51 PM) OK kids, let's wrap up the chat with some *lightning round* questions -- your short and sweet questions and my short and sweet answers.
(11/27 15:51 PM) Scooter, Northbrook IL - Housh, S. Smith (Caronlina), Lee Evans need 2 to start
 | (11/27 15:52 PM) Love my fellow Chicagoans. I would sit Evans though I wouldn't expect a great game from Smith either.
(11/27 15:52 PM) Opera Man, Balcony - Snelling over Addai in a PPR League?
 | (11/27 15:52 PM) Maybe in that instance I'd take Addai. He's scored in each of his last five against the Texans. Too strong a history to ignore.
(11/27 15:52 PM) scuba steve, scuba squad headquarters - Forte worth a keeper spot we have to decide by next week?
 | (11/27 15:53 PM) Yes, you have to figure he'll rebound in 2010.
(11/27 15:53 PM) Julia Gulia, Wedding Singer - Hello, I'm Julia Gooooolia, We're so pleased you could attend our wedding...Dave What's the TRUE scoop on VJAX & MSW playing @100%?
 | (11/27 15:53 PM) No one is at 100 pct. right now, but MSW is probably a smidge healthier than Jackson, but Jackson has the juicier matchup.
(11/27 15:53 PM) Click, FL - If Benson plays, start Scott anyway over Cartwright or Slaton?
 | (11/27 15:53 PM) ep.
 | (11/27 15:53 PM) Yep.
 | (11/27 15:53 PM) :)
(11/27 15:53 PM) Gingo, Softball City - Hasslebeck or McNabb?
 | (11/27 15:54 PM) I don't have much faith in either guy this week -- but Hasselbeck is a smidge more appealing. McNabb's history against the Redskins isn't good.
(11/27 15:54 PM) Jerry Bevil, Munster,In - A.Smith or Big Ben?
 | (11/27 15:54 PM) I think Roethlisberger will be OK. Start him over Smith. His matchup isn't that bad, really.
(11/27 15:54 PM) Jim, LaGrange, IL - Defense: Bengals or Chargers.
 | (11/27 15:55 PM) Jim I'd go with any defense against the Browns. If Northwestern played the Browns I'd start Northwestern. I am unfazed by last week's play against the Lions, and I doubt the Browns have put it all together offensively.
(11/27 15:55 PM) mp, ct - snelling or r. rice - your thoughts please - thanks
 | (11/27 15:56 PM) If Snelling is alone in the backfield without Turner, I like him better. We'll know more on Sunday.
(11/27 15:56 PM) dan, chicago - msw or derrick mason
 | (11/27 15:56 PM) MSW is better, despite being on the road. Flacco has trouble with the Steelers, which means Mason will have trouble with the Steelers.
(11/27 15:56 PM) Zohan, Israel - Msw or Breaston?
 | (11/27 15:57 PM) Again, MSW's upside is stronger.
(11/27 15:57 PM) CJ, FL - Snelling or C Taylor if Peterson Cant go
 | (11/27 15:57 PM) I would trust Snelling over Taylor even if he's taking nearly every rep. I suspect Peterson has a good chance of playing.
(11/27 15:57 PM) MyTurn, Philly - Snelling, Gore or LT?
 | (11/27 15:57 PM) I rank them Snelling, LT, Gore.
(11/27 15:57 PM) matt, new hampshire - derrick mason or crabtree
 | (11/27 15:58 PM) I'd roll the dice on Crabtree. I'm a fan of his matchup this week.
(11/27 15:58 PM) Shooter McGavin, Calif - Is Steven Jackson going to play?
 | (11/27 15:58 PM) A source told me he's going to make it, but that was before he missed practice today. I think his back is really sore for him to sit out the extra day. I think he'll make it but he's struggled with Seattle in the past and might not be as effective on Sunday.
(11/27 15:58 PM) Turkey, Farm - Dark meat or white meat?
 | (11/27 15:59 PM) White meat, gobble gobble.
(11/27 15:59 PM) Steel Curtain, Munster,In - R.Mendenhall or J.Forsett?
 | (11/27 15:59 PM) If Jones is out, Forsett. If Jones is in, Mendenhal.
(11/27 15:59 PM) the smellmop, coral springs fl - cardinals dst or dolphins
 | (11/27 15:59 PM) Hey neighbor. I'd trust the Dolphins DST against the weak Bills.
(11/27 15:59 PM) SWAN, Melbourne,FL - Which is betta - shampoo (longwell) or conditioner (akers)?
 | (11/27 16:00 PM) Excellent creativity to end our chat! I say shampoo is better because he's indoors and playing against a weak opponent.
 | (11/27 16:01 PM) That's going to do it for me this week. Thank you for stopping by and asking your questions. If I did not answer your question, you can either email me at dmfantasyfootball@cbs.com and ask there, or Tweet me at Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/daverichard and I will try to respond. Thanks for coming out, and GOOD LUCK in Week 12.
