He comes from a country where soccer is called football and football is called American football, so it's a good thing Englishman, and 2007 FSWA Fantasy Golf Writer of the Year, Ross Devonport writes mostly about Fantasy Golf.

Born in Edgware, England (yes, they have hospitals in the UK); Ross spent the first 16 or so years of his life in the area before being hauled to the States by his parents in 1992. After completing his fifth and sixth years of high school in Boca Raton, Fla. (don't ask), Ross attended Florida Atlantic University, where he wrote a few sports pieces for the University Press and lost more than a few brain cells playing rugby for the school before graduating in 1999.

He then put in stints with the Palm Beach Post, Tennessee Smokies Baseball Club and the St. Thomas University and FAU Sports Information departments before finally joining CBSSports.com in 2005. A golf producer for two years before moving over to the Fantasy Sports department, he continues to promote the FAU Owls, New Orleans Hornets and English 'soccer' to whoever will listen.

When he's not working, Ross likes to play rugby, golf, soccer and hang out with his wife, Jessica, and son Liam.
