The González family hails from the small South American nation of Uruguay, but Sergio comes to us from the slightly less exotic state of New Jersey. His upbringing allowed him to grow up with a balanced sports diet that included both fútbol and football, and he brings to CBSSports.com a unique passion for all sports.

A failed attempt as a walk-on kicker for Howard Schnellenberger's Florida Atlantic University football program ended any dreams Sergio had of becoming a college athlete, and ultimately pointed him in the direction of Fantasy sports.

Sergio loves to coach. Whether it's helping out as a special teams coach at his old high school or teaching kids (or anyone willing to listen) the finer aspects of the world's game, he genuinely enjoys passing on whatever knowledge he has. He gets the same kind of enjoyment from helping Fantasy owners -- that is, as long as they aren't in a league with him.

He's been with CBSSports.com since 2004, but he joined an already stout cast of Fantasy writers in late 2005, becoming the youngest member of the group.
