Scott White grew up in suburban Atlanta, where from an early age, he became a fan of all Atlanta-area teams, particularly the Braves. He cites Sid Bream's slide to clinch Game 7 of the 1992 NLCS as one of the most influential moments of his life -- the moment sports became relevant.
While attending the University of Georgia, Scott acted as campus correspondent for CSTV, making several TV appearances to give the mood on campus before and after football games. After graduating in 2006 with a major in broadcast news, he began his writing career as sports editor for the Waycross Journal-Herald, where he covered the Ware County Gators, among other high school teams, and developed a reputation for off-the-wall observations and overly dramatic anecdotes -- all while talking a little sports in between -- in his weekly column "Yeah Right, Scott White."
In 2007, Scott joined CBSSports.com to write about Fantasy Sports. He has a celebrated history in Fantasy, having won multiple leagues in both baseball and football since he began playing in 1999. An avid game-player for much of his life, Fantasy gave him the opportunity to take another of his passions, sports, and shape it into a game -- one played out over the course of months instead of hours. He immediately became obsessed.
Scott considers Draft Day one of the most exciting days of the year -- second to Christmas, of course -- and will even admit he sometimes can't sleep the night before.
