Athletics' Ben Zobrist has zero discomfort with knee
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(6:31 pm ET) Athletics second baseman Ben Zobrist has zero discomfort with his knee and his rehab is going well, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Zobrist has yet to resume hitting after undergoing knee surgery in late April, but if things continue to go well with his recovery, it's possible he's back with the team before the end of May. He has hit .240/.304/.400 with one home run, eight RBI and one stolen base in 50 at-bats.

With A's OF Coco Crisp back, Mark Canha could see time at 1B
by Jason Butt | CBSSports.com
(6:20 pm ET) With outfielder Coco Crisp healthy enough to return to baseball, the Athletics have a question as to what to do with Mark Canha, who's hitting .271 this season.

One solution for the time being is to ease Crisp back in and rotate him with Canha in the outfield still, which is what manager Bob Melvin said via the San Francisco Chronicle on Wednesday.

Another is to play Canha at first base so that he and Crisp can be in the lineup together.

This season, Canha has played 20 games in the outfield, six at first base and one at third base. He's not in the lineup Wednesday as Crisp is in left field.

Weeks hasn't led off since April 15, while Bloomquist hasn't hit higher than seventh in any of his five starts.

The Mariners are underdogs (+134) on the road Wednesday, per VegasInsider.com.
