Dodgers' Mike Adams will start season at Triple-A
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(2:12 pm ET) Dodgers pitcher Mike Adams was informed he will begin the season with Triple-A Oklahoma City, according to SB Nation.

Adams, 36, signed a minor-league deal with the club in early March. He posted a 2.89 ERA over 22 games in 2014. He posted a 9.64 ERA over 4 2/3 innings of work this spring.

"It's a little bit disappointing. I thought I was coming in with an opportunity to make the team. They felt that they didn't want to rush me and cram my innings in, which I understand," Adams said. "Hopefully it's something that won't take long."a

Orioles' Manny Machado may slide to shortstop on occassion
by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com
(2:10 pm ET) Orioles regular shortstop J.J. Hardy is on the shelf for awhile and the team is in need of a replacement for the beginning of the season. Manager Buck Showalter hinted Tuesday third baseman Manny Machado may slide over to shortstop to provide some additional help, reports the Baltimore Sun.

"We are looking at all possibilities, all possible scenarios," Showalter said. "I don't have any doubt that we have a number of guys that could do it, including Manny, but you've got to be careful about robbing Peter to pay Paul."

Machado was a shortstop before making it to the majors.

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com

Brewers' Roenicke chooses Carlos Gomez to bat leadoff
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(2:00 pm ET) Brewers manager Ron Roenicke told reporters Tuesday's spring lineup against the Reds will be the team's Opening Day batting order, per the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Tuesday's lineup had center fielder Carlos Gomez batting first, and he was followed by catcher Jonathan Lucroy, right fielder Ryan Braun, third base Aramis Ramirez, first baseman Adam Lind, left fielder Khris Davis, second baseman Scooter Gennett and shortstop Jean Segura. The pitcher will bat ninth.

Roenicke said he chose Gomez to bat leadoff over Gennett because moving Gomez to the middle of the lineup disrupts other hitters.

Nationals' Drew Storen tentatively scheduled to pitch Wednesday
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com

"We may have to push that a day or so," manager Matt Williams said. "We'll see where we’re at."

Angels option Nick Tropeano to Triple-A Salt Lake
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(1:49 pm ET) The Angels optioned pitcher Nick Tropeano to Triple-A Salt Lake Tuesday, the team announced.

Nationals OF Jayson Werth unsure of next step in rehab
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(1:47 pm ET) Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth went 1 for 2 in his first minor-league game swinging. Werth had surgery on his shoulder which has kept him out this spring. He remains unsure of the next step his recovery process, per Comcast SportsNet Washington.

"I felt like it was the first game of spring training," Werth said. "So if I had a month left, I'd be right where I needed to be. But I've got six days, five now. We're gonna do all the work we can and we're going to do everything we can to get there. I just don't know if it'll be enough. Again, that's not my decision anyway."
