Rangers' red-hot Prince Fielder hits 298th career homer

(12:48 am ET) Rangers designated hitter Prince Fielder continued his torrid stretch, going 3 for 5 with a home run on Tuesday. 

Fielder has five homers in the last five games and is 14 for his last 24, with four straight 3-hit games. 

Fielder now has 10 home runs on the season and 298 for his career. The three-run blast gave him 38 RBI for the season.


Giants 2B Matt Duffy drives in two runs during Tuesday's win

(12:45 am ET) Giants second baseman Matt Duffy hit his third home run of the season to help lead the Giants to a 6-3 win over the Brewers on Tuesday.

The two-run home run was hit off Matt Garza in the fourth inning and it was his only hit in four at-bats during the game. Over his last seven games, Duffy is 9 for 30 with two home runs and six RBI.


Rangers' Mitch Moreland wins game with eighth inning home run

(12:45 am ET) Rangers first baseman Mitch Moreland broke up a tie game with a solo home run in the eighth inning. 

It was Moreland's only hit in four at bats and gave him eight homers and 18 RBI on the season. 

Moreland has homered in three of the last six games. 


Nick Hagadone takes loss in relief for Indians

(12:43 am ET) Indians reliever Nick Hagadone suffered his first loss since 2013, Tuesday against Texas. 

Hagadone entered in the sixth and stranded the go-ahead run at third base. After retiring the first five batters he faced, Hagadone allowed the game-winning home run with one out in the eighth. 

It was the only baserunner he allowed in 1 2/3 innings. 


Shawn Tolleson earns five straight save for Rangers

(12:38 am ET) After 122 appearances, including 17 this season, without any saves, Rangers reliever Shawn Tolleson has earned saves in his last five outings.

Tolleson's most recent came when he pitched a perfect ninth on Tuesday to preserve a one-run win over Cleveland. Tolleson has not allowed a baserunner in his last three games. 


Rangers' Keone Kela wins fourth straight in relief

(12:36 am ET) Rangers reliever Keone Kela won his fourth straight decision, moving to 4-1 with a victory over Cleveland on Tuesday.

Kela pitched a perfect seventh inning, striking out one, to earn the win. It's the first time since May 7, eight appearances ago, that he hasn't allowed a baserunner. 


Giants RP Santiago Casilla earns 13th save of season Tuesday

(12:34 am ET) Giants pitcher Santiago Casilla recorded the final three outs to earn his 13th save of the season during Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Brewers.

Casilla allowed two hits during the final inning, but he also struck out two to lower his ERA to 1.37. He is now 13 for 15 in save opportunities this season.


Indians' Danny Salazar leaves with finger problem in no-decision

(12:33 am ET) Indians starter Danny Salazar was forced to leave Tuesday's game against Seattle with a finger issue. 

Salazar allowed three runs on six hits in 5 2/3 innings. He suffered a cut nail or blister on the middle finger of his right hand in the fifth inning, while throwing a hanging slider that was hit for a three-run homer, per Cleveland.com.

Salazar walked three and struck out six. Assuming the finger doesn't change his schedule, he pitches next Sunday, at Seattle.


Brewers SP Matt Garza allows five runs in Tuesday's loss

(12:29 am ET) Brewers pitcher Matt Garza surrendered five runs on eight hits over five innings during Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Giants.

Garza received his seventh loss of the season for his effort. He also struck out seven batters and walked three. Garza surrendered home runs to Hunter Pence and Matt Duffy.

Garza (2-7) has now given up 19 combined runs in his last three starts. His next expected start is scheduled for Monday at St. Louis.


Rangers' Wandy Rodriguez strikes out six in no-decision

(12:29 am ET) Rangers starter Wandy Rodriguez gave up three runs in 5 1/3 innings, leaving with a no-decision in Texas' win over Cleveland on Tuesday. 

Rodriguez walked five for the second time in six starts and struck out six. He allowed four hits, but two of them were home runs. 

Rodriguez starts next on Sunday, against Boston.
