Twins OF Eddie Rosario hits first-pitch homer in MLB debut

(11:36 pm ET) Twins outfielder Eddie Rosario hit a solo home run in the third inning of Wednesday's 13-0 win over the Athletics. 

This was Rosario's first major-league game and he swung on the first pitch he saw. The homer came in the third inning and was off of Scott Kazmir. Rosario finished his first-ever MLB game 1 for 4. 


Brewers' Scooter Gennett hits first home run of season Wednesday

(11:35 pm ET) Brewers second baseman Scooter Gennett hit his first home run of the season to help lead the Brewers to a 6-3 win over the Dodgers.

Gennett connected off starter Joe Wieland for a two-run home run in the first inning. He was his only hit in five at-bats during the game. He is not hitting .216 on the season and has not had multiple hits in any game this season.


Twins' Eduardo Escobar goes 3 for 4 in win over Athletics

(11:30 pm ET) Twins outfielder Eduardo Escobar had his best game of the 2015 season in Wednesday night's 13-0 win over the Athletics. 

Escobar went 3 for 4 with a two-run homer in the sixth inning and a two-run double in the seventh. He also drove in a run on a sacrifice fly in the third. Escobar entered the game with five total RBI for the season and doubled his total with Wednesday's output. 

In three games against the Athletics this series, Escobar has gone 6 for 11 at the plate. 

Escobar is now batting .225/.243/.380. 


Brewers' Francisco Rodriguez earns sixth save of season Wednesday

(11:30 pm ET) Brewers pitcher Francisco Rodriguez earned his sixth save of the season when he closed the door on a 6-3 victory over the Dodgers on Wednesday.

During the ninth inning, Rodriguez allowed one hit and struck two in route to a scoreless inning. He now has a 1.64 ERA.


Brewers' Adam Lind smacks home run Wednesday

(11:27 pm ET) Brewers first baseman Adam Lind hit his fifth home run of the season when he connected off Dodgers pitcher Joe Wieland for a two-run home run in the first inning to help send the Brewers to a 6-3 victory.

Lind added a double to finish the game 2 for 4. He is now hitting .323 on the season.


Dodgers' Adrian Gonzalez collects three hits Wednesday

(11:22 pm ET) Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez was 3 for 4 at the plate during Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Brewers.

One of Gonzalez's hits was a double. It was his first multi-hit game since April 29. He is now hitting .376 on the season


A's P Scott Kazmir alllows 6 runs in loss to Twins

(11:20 pm ET) Athletics pitcher Scott Kazmir allowed six earned runs during his time on the mound in Wednesday night's 13-0 loss to the Twins. 

Kazmir pitched six innings and also gave up seven hits (two of which were home runs) and two walks. He struck out four batters. Kazmir is now 2-1 this season with a 2.75 ERA. 

Kazmir's next start is projected for May 11 against the Red Sox. 


Twins' Kyle Gibson has another scoreless outing in win

(11:17 pm ET) Twins pitcher Kyle Gibson pitched six scoreless innings in Wednesday evening's 13-0 win over the Athletics. 

Gibson only allowed four hits in 104 pitches. He walked two batters and struck out one. Gibson has now gone the past 17 innings without giving up a run. He now holds an ERA of 2.97 for the season. 

Gibson's next start is projected for May 12 against the Tigers. 


Dodgers' Joc Pederson smacks two home runs Wednesday

(11:17 pm ET) Dodgers outfielder Joc Pederson connected on two home runs during Wednesday's game against the Brewers, but it was not enough as the Dodgers fell 6-3.

Each of the home runs were solo shots off Brewers starter Wily Peralta. Pederson now has nine home runs on the season and is batting .272. The two home runs were his lone hits in four at-bats Wednesday.

(11:14 pm ET) Brewers pitcher Wily Peralta tossed eight solid innings of work to earn his first win of the season during Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Dodgers.

Peralta (1-4) allowed three runs (two earned) on seven hits. He also struck out six batters and walked none. His mistakes were to Joc Pederson, who hit two solo home runs off Peralta during the game. Peralta lowered his ERA from 4.35 to 3.92. It was the first time this season Peralta was able to pitch past the seventh inning.

His next start is expected to be Monday against the White Sox.
