by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com

Coke was designated for assignment last week by the Cubs. He can become a free agent Thursday.

Twins' Oswaldo Arcia starts rehab assignment in Triple-A
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(9:40 pm ET) Twins outfielder Oswaldo Arcia started a minor league injury rehab assignment on Tuesday, for Triple-A Rochester.

Arcia went on the 15-day disabled list on May 4 with a right hip flexor strain.

He played designated hitter for Rochester and went 0 for 3 with three groundouts and a sacrifice fly.

Orioles C Matt Wieters collects two hits in rehab game Tuesday
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(9:13 pm ET) Orioles catcher Matt Wieters went 2 for 4 at the plate during his first minor-league rehab assignment game Tuesday.

Wieters played for the team's Double-A team as he makes his way back from Tommy John surgery. He is expected to play at least three more games. Wieters is eligible to come off the DL on June 4.

Wieters will not play Wednesday and then catch Thursday and Saturday at Double-A, reports MASNSports.com.

Rangers' Alex Claudio sore after long outing, gets two days off
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(9:08 pm ET) Rangers reliever Alex Claudio had a 61-pitch outing in relief on Monday.

Claudio came in after starter Phil Klein got knocked out after two innings, pitching 3 1/3 innings.

"I’m sore," Claudio said on Tuesday, per the Dallas Morning News. "I'm tired."

Manager Jeff Bannister said that Claudio would get two days off to recover.

Rangers unsure if Phil Klein or Ross Detwiler will start Saturday
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(9:04 pm ET) After Rangers pitcher Phil Klein struggled during Monday's win, manager Jeff Banister said the team will decide in the next day or two if Klein will start again during Saturday’s game against the Red Sox, reports The Dallas Morning News.

Left-handed pitcher Ross Detwiler is on the disabled list with inflammation in his shoulder, but he recently threw a bullpen session, which went well and he is also a candidate to start Saturday.

"We continue to assess where we're at," Banister said.

Red Sox want Joe Kelly to use curve more often
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(8:41 pm ET) After giving up 7 runs in 1 2/3 innings on Monday, Joe Kelly met with Red Sox manager John Farrell and pitching coach Carl Willis on Tuesday morning to discuss a plan.

"I contend and strongly believe that his curveball is a major weapon that's got to be used in his pitch mix," Farrell said, per the Boston Herald

Kelly did well in his start against Texas on May 21, when he went to his curve often.

"He made a very tangible adjustment after three innings of work, when he went to his curveball more than his slider and slowed them down and had some quick and efficient innings. It's part of the education process of Joe as a pitcher, what makes him most effective," Farrell said.

Padres P Cory Luebke (elbow) to throw simulated game Tuesday
by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer
(8:34 pm ET) Padres pitcher Cory Luebke, who is recovering from his second Tommy John surgery, has recently started throwing live batting practice at the team's training facility in Arizona. Luebke is expected to throw a simulated game there on Tuesday as he works his way back.

The team did not divulge any further details on his recovery plan, but if all goes will with the simulated game, he could be nearing a minor-league rehab assignment. Luebke hasn't thrown a big-league pitch since late-April 2012.

No structural damage for Orioles' Dylan Bundy, no MRI needed
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(8:21 pm ET) Orioles pitcher Dylan Bundy's shoulder has no structural damage, manager Buck Showalter said on Tuesday, per MLB.com.

Bundy had tendinitis in his shoulder and was expected to undergo an MRI on Wednesday, but after getting his shoulder cleared on Tuesday, Showalter said Bundy wouldn't need an MRI or any other further testing.

Blue Jays' Dioner Navarro (hamstring) doubles in first rehab game
by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer
(8:09 pm ET) Blue Jays catcher Dioner Navarro went 1 for 3 with a double in his first rehab outing on Tuesday. The veteran caught seven innings for Triple-A Buffalo, according to the Bisons TV/Radio announcer. Navarro has been on the disabled list with a hamstring injury since the end of April.

"He's progressing, it was a pretty good injury," Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said, per MLB.com. "Originally we didn't think it was much but it turned out [otherwise]. Those things can be a little bit dicey, especially for a catcher, he's doing all that squatting up and down, up and down."

Once he's ready to come off of the DL, Navarro will likely replace Josh Thole as the backup to Russell Martin.

Red Sox C Ryan Hanigan (finger) expects to return when eligible
by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer
(7:51 pm ET) Red Sox catcher Ryan Hanigan is expected to begin throwing next week. Hanigan has been on the disabled list since May 2 with a finger injury. He says he expects to be ready to return when eligible in early-July, according to WEEI.com.

Known more for his defenisive prowess, Hanigan was batting just .222 (12 for 54) in his first 19 games before getting injured. He does have two doubles and a home run on the year.
