A.J. Pierzynski activated from DL

(9:22 am ET) Rangers catcher A.J. Pierzynski has been activated from the disabled list. 

Pierzynski has been sidelined since May 5 with an oblique injury. He went 1 for 6 during his two game rehab stint. Pierzynski is eligible to return Tuesday against Athletics starter Dan Straily. He's hitting .263/.297/.411 in 95 at-bats this year. 


Seth Smith clubs fourth home run

(9:17 am ET) Athletics outfielder Seth Smith clubbed his fourth home run of the season Monday against the Rangers. 

In the second inning, Smith hit a solo shot against A's starter Josh Lindblom. Smith later added an RBI single. He also walked twice during the game. He scored three runs. Smith is hitting .285/.352/.451 in 144 at-bats this year. 


Jed Lowrie collects three hits

(9:08 am ET) Athletics infielder Jed Lowrie collected three hits Monday against the Rangers.

Lowrie hit two singles, and a double during the game. Though Lowrie reached three times, he did not score or drive in any runs. Lowrie's strong season continues, as he has a .298/.373/.439 slash line in 171 at-bats. 


Coco Crisp notches three hits

(8:59 am ET) Athletics outfielder Coco Crisp collected three hits Monday against the Rangers.

Crisp hit two singles, and a double during the game. He also stole his ninth base of the year. Crisp also walked, reaching base four times. He's hitting .274/.370/.513 in 117 at-bats this season.


Adam Dunn clubs 11 home run

(8:51 am ET) White Sox designated hitter Adam Dunn clubbed his 11 home run of the year Monday.

With two men on base, Dunn took a first inning fastball from Jon Lester out to right field. Dunn finished the game 1 for 3, he also walked once. Dunn is now hitting .172/.268/.428 in 145 at-bats this season. 


Jarrod Saltalamacchia hits fifth home run of the season

(8:46 am ET) Red Sox catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia hit his fifth home run of the season Monday.

Saltalamacchia took a fastball out to center in the top of the third inning. He later singled, finishing the game 2 for 3. Saltalamacchia is hitting .270/.347/.495 in 111 at-bats this year. He'll face off against White Sox starter Jose Quintana Tuesday.


Matt Dominguez hits fourth home run

(8:38 am ET) Astros third baseman Matt Dominguez hit his fourth home run of the year Monday.

Dominguez went 2 for 4 in the game, with a home run and a single. In the bottom of the fourth, Dominguez took a fastball from Jeremy Guthrie over the left field wall. Dominguez finished the game with 3 RBI. He's hitting .239/.270/.368 in 155 at-bats this year. 


Jeff Francoeur collects three hits

(8:28 am ET) Royals outfielder Jeff Francoeur collected three hits Monday.

Francouer hit two singles, and a double during the game. He scored one run and added one RBI. Francoeur has struggled to begin the year, hitting .226/.264/.316 in 133 at-bats. 


Lyle Overbay clubs seventh home run

(8:24 am ET) Yankees first baseman Lyle Overbay hit his seventh home run of the year Monday against the Orioles. 

Overbay also added a single later in the game. He finished the day 2 for 5. Overbay is hitting .264/.301/.493 in 144 at-bats this year. He'll face off against Orioles starter Miguel Gonzalez Tuesday. 


Travis Hafner clubs eighth home run

(8:15 am ET) Yankees designated hitter Travis Hafner hit his eighth home run of the season Monday.

Hafner took a Jim Johnson fastball out to left field on the fifth pitch of the at-bat. Hafner has been resurgent with the Yankees, hitting .267/.379/.522 in 105 at-bats this season. He'll face off against Orioles starter Miguel Gonzalez Tuesday.
