"I'll probably look and he'll probably continue to be in the lineup," manager John Farrell told MLB.com Saturday. "As we know, he's not a guy that's looking to come out of the lineup. Whether it's 162, there may be a time along the way where we give him a break, but right now he's still going strong."
Pedroia has never played all 162 games in a season, coming closest in 2011, when he played in 159 games. He is hitting .337 this year, and has reached base in all but five of his 50 games so far.
"He's a career hitter of over .300, so it's not like he's going to lack that consistency," Farrell said. "The one thing that he's done with probably more regularity is he's hit the ball the other way with consistency, knowing that pitchers aren't going to come in on him."
Pedroia added two more hits Saturday, in a 7-4 win over the Indians.

Dyson is already doing hitting and throwing drills -- while wearing a boot -- but has not yet begun running. He hopes to do so Tuesday, according to MLB.com.
"With a high ankle sprain, you can't really rush it," Dyson said. "You've got to make sure you are able to go out there and help the team. I'm not going to say I want to be 100 percent, but if I'm close, then I am ready to roll."
The Royals have lost seven of eight games since Dyson injured himself May 15, and he is not expected to return to the field for another two or three weeks.
