Doumit is hitting .218/.289/.370 in 119 at-bats this season. He'll bat sixth against Tim Hudson. Since the Twins are playing a National League team, they are unable to use a DH.

Listen, I like Corbin. I picked him up in a few leagues a couple weeks into the season and have been starting him fairly consistently since then. I even moved him up to 43rd in my starting pitcher rankings after his latest masterpiece at Colorado, of all places. And he deserves it. The improvement he's made this season is legitimate. But just because I've enjoyed what he's done for me doesn't mean I've lost all perspective with him.
He's not Clayton Kershaw. He's not even Matt Harvey. He won't be in the Cy Young discussion at season's end. And when his ERA normalizes to something right around 3.00, his limited strikeout potential will make him less than an automatic start.
Check out Wade Miley's numbers on June 24 last year. Much of what people are saying about Corbin now they were saying about Miley then. No, Miley didn't collapse -- and neither will Corbin -- but his numbers did normalize.

Jimenez is still not getting swings and misses like he did earlier in his career, but he is getting more called strikes, especially on his slider. Perhaps it's not a coincidence that, according to FanGraphs.com, Jimenez is getting first pitch strikes at his highest rate in three seasons, and he's throwing his slider more often on first pitches, per BrooksBaseball.net.
It's still a short-term trend, so Fantasy owners shouldn't put too much stock in it, and hitters could always make adjustments. Especially since Jimenez isn't going deep into games consistently, I wouldn't feel safe starting him in standard mixed leagues yet, but it's worth seeing how he fares in his next couple of starts.

"He pitches again (Tuesday in extended spring) and we’ll try to get him stretched out before we get him into a game in the lower minors. Maybe in Clearwater first," Amaro told The Philadelphia Inquirer. "We’ll see if he’s a viable option for us. At some point he’ll go to the upper levels once he gets stretched out. So far, so good with him."

"Cesar Hernandez is swinging the bat well," Amaro told The Philadelphia Inquirer. "There are some other guys playing pretty well, too, and they’re all on our radar screen. But Cesar is not going to come up and play for Chase."
