Rangers' Tanner Scheppers still looking for a rhythm on the mound
by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com
(5:18 pm ET) Rangers pitcher Tanner Scheppers wants to figure out why he's scuffling on the mound so dar this season. Scheppers spent Sunday watching tape of himself on the mound with pitching coach Mike Maddux to figure out just what is ailing him, according to MLB.com.

"I know I have to make adjustments," said Scheppers. "I'm beating myself up. The free bags are catching up to me. I need to trust myself and throw the ball over the plate."

Scheppers, who currently boasts an 11.25 ERA in four innings of work, has struggled since coming back from an early ankle injury to begin the year.
"I would be lying to you if I said I was exactly where I want to be," Scheppers said. "I'm not. It is about making adjustments. I understand I need to come in and get outs."
Manager Jeff Banister continues to have faith in Scheppers and will turn to him in the eighth inning set-up role.
"I still believe in Tanner and who he is," Banister said. "The guy is coming off a year where he was a starter, got hurt and then put into the bullpen. We'll continue to look at it and get him on a roll."
