Yankees' Carlos Beltran leaves Tuesday's game with injury

(12:55 am ET) Yankees outfielder Carlos Beltran was forced to exit Tuesday's contest at Anaheim after suffering a rib cage injury, reports MLB.com.

Beltran left during his fifth-inning at-bat and he was replaced by Garrett Jones.


Todd Frazier hits in ninth straight for Reds

(12:52 am ET) Reds third baseman Todd Frazier hit his 22nd double of the year, his only hit in five at bats in Tuesday's loss to Minnesota. 

Frazier has hit in nine straight games. He's only hitting .256 over the streak, however. 


Reds' Eugenio Suarez hits home run in loss

(12:50 am ET) Reds shortstop Eugenio Suarez hit a solo home run in Tuesday's loss to Minnesota. Suarez went deep for the second time this year and first since June 13. 

Suarez is 6 for his last 13 and has four RBI in the last two games. 


Glen Perkins saves 25th straight for Twins

(12:45 am ET) Twins closer Glen Perkins remained perfect this season, by converting his 25th straight save opportunity. 

Perkins walked one in a scoreless, hitless inning to protect a three-run lead. He struck out one.

Perkins hasn't allowed a run in his last nine outings and hasn't allowed a hit in six of them. 


Dodgers' Carl Crawford goes 0 for 3 in rehab game Tuesday

(12:43 am ET) Dodgers outfielder Carl Crawford started his rehab assignment Tuesday for the team's Class A affiliate and went 0 for 3 at the plate. He also walked once and scored one run.

Crawford is on the disabled list with a torn right oblique. He has been sidelined since April 28.


Reds' Anthony DeSclafani gives up six runs in loss

(12:42 am ET) Reds starter Anthony DeSclafani allowed six runs on 11 hits in 6 2/3 innings on Tuesday. DeSclafani lost his second straight decision, dropping to 5-6. He hasn't won since June 9. 

DeSclafani walked one and matched a season high with seven strikeouts. 


Phil Hughes wins third straight for Twins

(12:38 am ET) Twins starter Phil Hughes won his third straight start, Tuesday against Cincinnati. 

Hughes allowed four runs, two earned, on seven hits over 6 2/3 innings. It's the second time in the last five starts that he hasn't lasted at least seven innings and the first time in the last three he hasn't gone eight. 

Hughes allowed seven hits, walked one and struck out four. He gave up two home runs for the sixth time this season. He improved to 7-6 on the year. 


White Sox RP David Robertson earns save Tuesday

(12:26 am ET) White Sox pitcher David Robertson recorded the final three outs during Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Cardinals to notch his 16th save of the season.

Robertson allowed two hits and struck out one during the appearance. He has now converted 16 of his 20 save chances this season.


Aramis Ramirez drives in three runs in Brewers' win

(12:25 am ET) Brewers third baseman Aramis Ramirez went 2 for 4 with three RBI in Tuesday's win over Philadelphia. 

Ramirez now has 33 RBI on the season. He's 4 for his last 8 with five RBI in the last three games. 


Ryan Braun leads Brewers with four hits

(12:23 am ET) Brewers right fielder Ryan Braun went 4 for 5 and scored twice in Tuesday's win over Philadelphia. He added a double, his 12th of the year. 

Braun has hit in five straight games and is 11 for 17 over that stretch. He's 8 for his last 10.
