Preston Tucker gets two hits, two RBI in Astros' win

(1:57 am ET) Astros right fielder Preston Tucker went 2 for 5 with a run and two RBI in Friday's win over Boston. 

Tucker hit his 13th double of the year and recorded his 19th RBI.

Tucker had his first multi-hit and multi-RBI game since June 18. 


Wilmer Flores has three hits for Mets

(1:54 am ET) Mets second baseman Wilmer Flores went 3 for 4 in Friday's win over the Dodgers. 

Flores was 1 for 14 in his previous four games. He broke out of the mini slump with his first three-hit game of the season. 

Flores tied the game with an RBI single in the fourth inning and set up the winning run with a ninth-inning single. 


Dodgers' Howie Kendrick sees seven-game hit streak snapped

(1:47 am ET) Dodgers second baseman Howie Kendrick went 0 for 4 in Friday's loss to the Mets. 

Kendrick struck out once and saw his seven-game hitting streak come to an end. Kendrick hit .500 with 1.224 OPS over the streak. 

Kendrick stole his third base of the year in the game. 


Adrian Gonzalez hits home run in Dodgers' loss

(1:45 am ET) Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez hit a solo home run in the second inning of Friday's loss to the Mets. 

Gonzalez ended a seven-game home run drought with his first homer since June 24. He went 1 for 4 with his 14th homer and 49th RBI.


Dodgers' Kenley Jansen suffers first loss of year

(1:41 am ET) Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen gave up a run in a non-save situation to take the loss to the Mets on Friday. 

Jansen entered a tie game in the ninth and gave up a double, single and sacrifice fly in his first three batters. 

Jansen gave up a run for the third consecutive game.


D-Backs' Chris Owings goes 3 for 5 in win

(1:37 am ET) Diamondbacks infielder Chris Owings collected three hits during Friday night's 4-3 victory over the Rockies. 

Owings finished the game 3 for 5, with all three of his hits going for singles. For Owings, it's his fourth game getting three hits. Since June 1, Owings has only posted three multi-hit games. Owings is now slashing .239/.262/.332.


Mets' Jeurys Familia gets 22nd save of year

(1:36 am ET) Mets closer Jeurys Familia saved his 22nd game of the year in Friday's win over Los Angeles. He pitched a perfect ninth inning to protect a one-run lead. 

Familia had his sixth straight scoreless outing. 


Rockies OF Charlie Blackmon goes yard in loss to Diamondbacks

(1:33 am ET) Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon hit his 11th home run during Friday evening's 4-3 loss to the Diamondbacks. 

Blackmon hit a solo shot to lead the game off in the first inning. Blackmon finished the game 1 for 4. The homer snapped a two-game hitless streak for Blackmon and is the second long ball in his past five games. 

Blackmon is now slashing .269/.344/.442. 


Hansel Robles gets win in relief for Mets

(1:33 am ET) Mets reliever Hansel Robles pitched two scoreless innings to pick up the win in relief on Friday. 

Robles allowed one hit and struck out a career-high three. He won for the first time since June 15 to even his record at 2-2. 


Rockies P Kyle Kendrick yields 3 runs in no-decision

(1:29 am ET) Rockies pitcher Kyle Kendrick gave up three earned runs in a no-decision during Friday night's 4-3 loss to the Diamondbacks. 

Kendrick went 5 2/3 innings, allowed nine hits and struck out six batters. The six strikeouts tied a season high and his hit total is the second-most allowed this year — Kendrick has given up 10 hits twice. 

Kendrick now has a 6.00 ERA.
