Blue Jays GM: Miguel Castro will continue to pitch in relief
by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer
(11:35 am ET) Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos said right-hander Miguel Castro should be heading to Double-A New Hampshire shortly. Castro has been nursing a thumb injury while working in Class A Dunedin.

The 20-year-old Castro made the Blue Jays out of spring training, but was sent back down to the minors after experiencing some struggles. He posted a 4.38 ERA in 13 relief appearances before his demotion in early May.

Anthopoulos says the team intends to keep Castro in the bullpen, with the hopes of being able to fill the bullpen needs internally.

"It would be a huge add for us if we can get him back", Anthopoulos said, per SportsNet.

(11:28 am ET) Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos told reporters he will be in attendance for Daniel Norris' start for Triple-A Buffalo on Wednesday. He added Norris could put himself back on the radar with a third straight solid outing and suggested Norris might make a spot start before the All-Star break.

D-Backs' De La Rosa developing good rapport with Castillo
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(11:10 am ET) Diamondbacks starting pitcher Rubby De La Rosa continued to a stretch of strong starts Tuesday against the Dodgers, striking out seven in 5 2/3 innings. He is 2-0 with a 1.30 ERA in his last four starts.

De La Rosa's surge has coincided with the acquisition of catcher Welington Castillo. The duo grew up playing baseball together in the Dominican Republic. De La Rosa has a 3.58 ERA in five starts with Castillo behind the plate.

"He's good behind home plate," De La Rosa said, per The Arizona Republic. "He makes me a little bit more confident. For me it's really good."

Although, Castillo doesn't want to take any credit for De La Rosa's success.

"I think my job is to help him however I can," Castillo said. "He's got really good stuff. All I'm trying to do is get him on the same page and get him believing in his stuff."
