Red Sox LF Hanley Ramirez not blaming struggles on injured shoulder
by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com
(6:25 pm ET) Red Sox left fielder Hanley Ramirez is in a slump after flying out of the gates to start the season. Ramirez, who is a little banged up after running into the left field wall earlier in the month, is not blaming his shoulder for the struggles, according to WEEI.com.

"I mean, I keep hitting line drive outs to people. I can't control that. And I've been doing that for, I mean, the whole month. Just right at people," Ramirez said.

Twins pitchers kept Ramirez on his toes, working the inside part of the plate throughout their series.

"I mean, I've got a strike zone. Most of the pitches they've thrown me inside are balls. I'm not supposed to pull that," Ramirez said. "I hit it back up the middle, that's my approach. Back up the middle. If you start opening your front shoulder and keep chasing, I'm not changing my approach. So it is what it is. I'm not getting any mistakes right now. They're just pounding the black of the plate."

Rangers' Delino DeShields sees time at second on Wednesday
by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com

"It's funny how the ball finds you," Banister said. "That was good. That's what we wanted, to see him make some plays."

DeShields played second while in the minors, but hasn't played the position since Sept. 2 of 2014.

"It took a minute to get adjusted," DeShields said. "I didn't feel too bad."
