by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(8:46 pm ET) The Angels optioned pitcher Drew Rucinski to Triple-A Salt Lake City, the team announced after Sunday's game.

Andre Ethier homers twice for Dodgers
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(8:44 pm ET) Dodgers outfielder Andre Ethier hit two home runs in Sunday's win over the Angels.

Ethier broke a 20 game, 67 plate-appearance home run drought, going deep for the first time since June 29.

It's Ethier's first two-homer game since July 10, 2011.

Ethier's second home run of the game was a walk-off two-run homer in the bottom of the 10th inning. He now has seven walk-offs in his career and five extra-inning home runs.

Indians SP Trevor Bauer gives up four walks in no-decision
by Ruben Palacios | Staff Writer
(8:07 pm ET) Indians starting pitcher Trevor Bauer had to overcome some command issues during his start against the Athletics on Sunday.

Bauer gave up four walks in the 6 2/3 innings he tossed. Despite giving up so many free bases, Bauer allowed just one earned run in the no-decision. He also struck out six batters, marking the fifth consecutive start he records at least five strikeouts.

Bauer (8-8) has a 3.98 ERA with 128 strikeouts and 52 walks in 131 innings this season.

Athletics SP Sonny Gray strikes out seven in no-decision
by Ruben Palacios | Staff Writer
(7:57 pm ET) Athletics starting pitcher Sonny Gray was solid during his start against the Indians on Sunday.

Gray allowed just one run on four hits over seven innings of work. If it wasn't for some command issues that contributed to four walks, Gray's outing would have been stellar. He struck out seven batters in the no-decision.

Gray now has a 2.12 ERA in 152 2/3 innings this season.

Mat Latos takes no-decision in first Dodgers' start
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(7:45 pm ET) Dodgers pitcher Mat Latos made his first start since being acquired from Cincinnati in a trade-deadline deal earlier in the week.

Latos allowed one run in six innings, but a shaky bullpen forced him to settle for a no-decision.

Latos has allowed one run or fewer in three of his last four starts. Latos allowed four hits, walked one and struck out one, his fewest strikeouts in a start since May 16.

(7:36 pm ET) The Rays are expected to call up first baseman/third baseman Richie Shaffer from Triple-A Durham on Monday, per the Tampa Bay Times

Shaffer was removed from Durham's game on Sunday, in anticipation of the move.

Shaffer was hitting .265 with 16 home runs at Durham. This is his first trip to the Major Leagues.

by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(6:17 pm ET) Rangers reliever Sam Dyson induced a game-ending double play with the bases loaded and a one-run lead, Sunday against San Francisco.

Dyson gave up two hits and allowed one inherited runner to score, but he pitched 2/3 of an inning to earn his first career save.
