Pirates 1B Corey Hart goes 1 for 4 in rehab game Tuesday

(9:58 pm ET) Pirates first baseman Corey Hart went 1 for 4 at the plate during a rehab game at Triple-A on Tuesday. Hart also scored a run and had one RBI.

Hart is on the 15-day disabled list with a shoulder impingement and has been sidelined since June 21.


Twins SP Ervin Santana impressive in final Triple-A start

(9:41 pm ET) Twins pitcher Ervin Santana proved he's ready to make his season debut after his final outing at Triple-A on Tuesday.

Santana tossed eight scoreless innings while allowing five hits, striking out five and he did not walk a batter over 99 pitches.

Santana is eligible to return from suspension Saturday, but is expected to start Sunday's game at Kansas City, reports the St. Paul Pioneer Press.


Rays' James Loney goes 1 for 4 in rehab game Tuesday

(9:31 pm ET) Rays first baseman James Loney began his rehab assignment at Class A on Tuesday and went 1 for 4 as the designated hitter. He also struck out twice.

Loney has been out since May 24 with a fractured left middle finger.


Twins scratch Shane Robinson, Danny Santana replaces him

(9:22 pm ET) The Twins announced that outfielder Shane Robinson has been scratched from Tuesday's game against the Reds, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer

With Robinson out, Danny Santana is hitting eighth in the lineup instead and is playing center field


Reds' Raisel Iglesias has three shutout innings in rehab start

(9:16 pm ET) Reds pitcher Raisel Iglesias started a minor league rehab assignment at Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday. 

Iglesias is on the disabled list with a strained left oblique and hadn't pitched in a month. 

Iglesias threw three shutout innings, allowing one hit and one walk. He struck out three and threw 27 strikes in 43 pitches. He also threw a wild pitch. 


Rays' Andrew Bellatti tosses two innings in rehab game Tuesday

(9:13 pm ET) Rays pitcher Andrew Bellatti threw two scoreless innings during a rehab assignment for the team's Class A affiliate Tuesday.

He allowed two hits during the outing and did not a walk or a strike out a batter. It was his first rehab assignment game. Bellatti is on the disabled list because of soreness in his shoulder.


Rockies recall pitchers Justin Miller, Yohan Flande

(8:54 pm ET) The Rockies recalled right-handed pitcher Justin Miller and left-handed pitcher Yohan Flande to the 25-man roster, according to MLB.com. These moves were made after placing pitcher Christian Bergman on the disabled list due to right shoulder fatigue and moving pitcher John Axford on the temporary inactive list. 

Mets LF Michael Cuddyer exits Tuesday's game in seventh inning

(8:52 pm ET) Mets left fielder Michael Cuddyer left Tuesday's game against the Cubs after the sixth inning with a sore left knee. He was replaced in the top of the seventh by Darrell Ceciliani. Cuddyer was 0 for 2 with a strikeout before exiting the game.

Cuddyer will undergo an MRI on Wednesday to determine the severity of the injury, reports NJ.com.


Rockies place John Axford on temporary inactive list

(8:51 pm ET) The Rockies moved pitcher John Axford to the temporary inactive list on Tuesday, according to MLB.com

The Rockies also placed right-handed pitcher Christian Bergman on the disabled list due to right shoulder fatigue. As a result, Colorado recalled right-handed pitcher Justin Miller and left-handed pitcher Yohan Flande.

Bergman was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque earlier this month. Colorado also moved pitcher John Axford to the temporary inactive list and recalled right-handed pitcher Justin Miller and left-handed pitcher Yohan Flande.
