by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(8:26 pm ET) Tigers outfielder Tyler Collins delivered a pinch-hit three-run home run in his team's 12-1 win over the Indians Monday.

The home run, which was the first of Collins' major-league career came in the ninth inning as a pinch hitter for designated hitter Miguel Cabrera, who had four hits and two home runs himself Monday out of the No. 3 spot of the batting order. Collins is 3 for 15 in eight games with the Tigers.

J.D. Martinez slugs 18th home run Monday vs. Indians
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(8:23 pm ET) Tigers outfielder J.D. Martinez went 2 for 4 with a walk and a solo home run in his team's 12-1 win over the Indians Monday.

Martinez combined with Victor Martinez on back-to-back home runs in the third inning to put the Tigers up 5-1 before the offense combined for seven runs in the final three innings. The outfielder has hit .307/.348/.550 with 18 home runs and 60 RBI in 349 at-bats.

Victor Martinez slugs 28th home run Monday
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(8:21 pm ET) Tigers first baseman Victor Martinez went 2 for 3 with two walks and a two-run home run in his team's 12-1 win over the Indians Monday.

It was a very productive day for the middle of the Tigers order, as the 3-4-5 hitters and their late-game replacements combined to go 9 for 14 with three walks and four home runs in the blowout win. Martinez has reached base safely in each of his last 20 games. He has hit .329/.400/.563 with 28 home runs and 90 RBI in 474 at-bats.

Miguel Cabrera blasts two home runs in four-hit game Monday
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(8:17 pm ET) Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera exploded offensively Monday, going 4 for 5 with two home runs and three RBI in his team's 12-1 win over the Indians.

Cabrera kicked off the scoring with a two-run home run in the first inning and tacked on a solo shot in the eighth. He hadn't homered since Aug. 2 before Monday, and it was his first multi-homer game of the season. Cabrera has hit .304/.367/.501 with 19 home runs and 94 RBI in 513 at-bats.

Corey Kluber chased in third inning of loss Monday
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(8:11 pm ET) Indians pitcher Corey Kluber couldn't make it through the third inning in Monday's loss, allowing five earned runs on seven hits and two walks in 2 2/3 innings while striking out two and surrendering three home runs in his team's 12-1 defeat against the Tigers.

Kluber (13-9) had a rare off performance Monday, giving up as many home runs as he had surrendered in his previous 11 starts combined. The dud ends his streak of quality starts at eight games. Kluber owns a 2.72 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 215:46 K:BB ratio in 195 1/3 innings. He's scheduled to face the White Sox Saturday.

David Price strikes out eight in win vs. Indians
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(8:07 pm ET) Tigers pitcher David Price earned a win Monday, allowing one earned run on eight hits and two walks in seven innings while striking out eight in his team's 12-1 blowout victory over the Indians.

Price (13-10) watched his offense take a 2-0 lead in the top of the first before giving back one run in the bottom half of the inning. He would cruise from that point on while the offense continued to hammer Indians pitcher. Price owns a 3.25 ERA and 232:32 K:BB ratio in 210 1/3 innings. He's scheduled to face the Giants Saturday.

Luis Valbuena slugs 16th home run Monday
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(8:04 pm ET) Cubs third baseman Luis Valbuena went 1 for 3 with a walk and a solo home run in his team's 4-2 win over the Brewers Monday.

Valbuena connected on a monster shot over the center field wall in the eighth inning to provide his team with a little breathing room. He has hit .246/.327/.447 with 16 home runs and 47 RBI in 403 at-bats.

Welington Castillo swats 11th home run Monday
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(8:02 pm ET) Cubs catcher Welington Castillo went 2 for 4 with a home run and three RBI in his team's 4-2 win over the Brewers Monday.

Castillo put his team on the board with an RBI single in the second inning and followed it up with a two-run blast in the fourth. He was just 1 for 20 in his last six games before Monday's win. Castillo has hit .231/.291/.380 with 11 home runs and 37 RBI in 321 at-bats.

Gerardo Parra homers, collects three hits Monday
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(7:59 pm ET) Brewers outfielder Gerardo Parra went 3 for 4 with a solo home run in his team's 4-2 loss to the Cubs Monday.

Parra hit the second of back-to-back home runs in the second inning, but it would be all the offense the Brewers could muster. He has hit .259/.307/.374 with eight home runs, 38 RBI and seven stolen bases in 455 at-bats.

Khris Davis swats 21st home run Monday
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(7:56 pm ET) Brewers outfielder Khris Davis went 1 for 4 with a solo home run in his team's 4-2 loss to the Cubs.

Davis tried to help bring his team back from a three-run deficit by hitting the first of back-to-back home runs in the seventh inning, but the Brewers weren't able to do any more damage. Davis has hit .249/.307/.478 with 21 home runs and 66 RBI in 441 at-bats.
