Tommy Medica to miss multiple games, but may avoid DL
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(8:40 pm ET) Padres infielder Tommy Medica is not available Friday against the Dodgers, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Zimmerman threw a pitch in the fourth inning, and signaled for the team trainer to come out to the mound. After a conference with the trainer and pitching coach Steve McCatty, Zimmermann left the game. It's unclear what part of his body Zimmermann injured. He was replaced by Craig Stammen.

Zimmermann wound up giving up four runs on six hits over 3 1/3 innings. He did not issue any walks and struck out five hitters.
