Dan Robertson replaces Matt Joyce in left for Angels
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(5:33 pm ET) Angels left fielder Matt Joyce isn't in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against Texas.

Joyce had started the last three and four of the last five. He has a team-high 47 starts in left this year.

In his place, Dan Robertson will get his sixth start of the season.

Rangers' Matt Harrison off DL on Saturday; will start Wednesday
by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer
(5:30 pm ET) Rangers left-hander Matt Harrison has been reinstated from the disabled list on Saturday. Harrison is set to make his season debut and start on Wednesday against the Diamondbacks.

Harrison hasn't thrown a big-league pitch since May of 2014, as he has been recovering from back injury that cost him most of last season.

Yovani Gallardo will pitch on Tuesday to open the series against the D-Backs, with Harrison going on Wednesday. Then, the Rangers are expected to go with Wandy Rodriguez, Colby Lewis and Gallardo to complete the first-half of the season against the Padres, according to the Dallas Morning News.

by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(5:28 pm ET) Blue Jays second baseman Devon Travis went 2 for 4 in Saturday's loss to Detroit. Travis has 6 hits in 13 at bats over the last three games and extended his hitting streak to six consecutive games.

Travis is hitting .455 with 1.000 OPS over the streak.

Kevin Pillar homers for Blue Jays in loss
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(5:20 pm ET) Blue Jays center fielder Kevin Pillar hit a solo home run in Saturday's loss to Detroit.

Pillar went 1 for 4 and is 8 for his last 17. He snapped an 11-game home run drought with his seventh homer of the year.

Rangers recall pitcher Anthony Ranaudo from Triple-A
by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer
(5:20 pm ET) The Rangers have recalled right-hander Anthony Ranaudo from Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday. Ranaudo, a former first-round draft pick, made two starts for the Rangers earlier this season, going 0-1 with a 6.48 ERA.

However, Ranaudo is expected to pitch in a long-relief role this time up, at least for the short term.

To clear room on the roster, right-hander Chi Chi Gonzalez was sent down to Triple-A.

Chris Colabello homers in Blue Jays' loss
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(5:17 pm ET) Blue Jays first baseman Chris Colabello hit a two-run home run in the ninth inning of Saturday's loss to Detroit.

Colabello went 2 for 4 and snapped a five game extra-base-hit drought. He hit his seventh homer and drove in his 31st run. He's now hit in four of the last five games.

Rangers option SP Chi Chi Gonzalez to Triple-A on Saturday
by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer
(5:16 pm ET) Rangers starter Chi Chi Gonzalez has been optioned to Triple-A Round Rock, the team announced on Saturday. Gonzalez was lit up for six runs over 1 1/3 innings on Friday, though he had been quite impressive in his six previous starts. But his 15:19 K:BB ratio is certainly an area of concern.

Overall, the young right-hander posted a 3.74 ERA in the first seven starts of his career.

To take his spot on the roster, the Rangers have right-hander Anthony Ranaudo from Round Rock.

Red Sox Xander Bogaerts doubles, collects two RBI
by Ruben Palacios | Staff Writer
(5:14 pm ET) Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts went 2 for 4 with a double and two RBI in Saturday's win over the Astros.

Bogaerts is hitting an eye-popping .383 with 18 hits, six doubles and seven RBI over his alst 11 games.

Cardinals' Carlos Martinez allows one run in no-decision Saturday
by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer
(5:10 pm ET) Cardinals right-hander Carlos Martinez was solid in his start against the Padres on Saturday. Martinez went 6 1/3 innings, allowing just one run on eight hits. He walked two and struck out five, but was left with a no-decision as the Cardinals weren't able to push across the go-ahead run until the eighth inning.

Martinez, who dropped his ERA to 2.70 on Saturday, allowed a fourth-inning solo home run to Yangervis Solarte for the only run the Padres would get on the afternoon.

Martinez has been quite dominant over recent weeks. Saturday's outing was his 10th consecutive quality start, and he has 70 strikouts over that stretch.

Red Sox CF Mookie Betts gets two hits, three RBI in win
by Ruben Palacios | Staff Writer
(5:09 pm ET) Red Sox center fielder Mookie Betts went 2 for 3 with two doubles and three RBI in Saturday's win over the Astros.

Betts continued his recent offensive surge with his third consecutive multi-hit game. Over his last six games, Betts is hitting .429 with 12 hits, three doubles, a home run and seven RBI.
