Logan Forsythe 'keeping the line moving' for Rays
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(1:18 pm ET) Rays second baseman Logan Forsythe has heated up recently, getting 8 hits in 20 at bats (.400) over the last six games.

Forsythe's fast start has several career highs in jeopardy. He's hitting .296 for the season--his previous best was .273. He already has 11 RBI and seven doubles, putting a bullseye on his previous bests of 26 RBI and 13 doubles over an entire season.

Forsythe is just focusing on his approach at the plate, a strategy he thinks will help the entire team turn around their slow start.

"If we keep the mindset of having good at-bats like we have been the whole year and kind of keeping the line moving, we'll get back to where we were," he said, per Fox Sports.

Athletics pitcher Jarrod Parker has third rehab outing on Sunday
by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer
(1:17 pm ET) Athletics pitcher Jarrod Parker made his third rehab start on Sunday. The right-hander pitched 4 1/3 innings, allowing three runs on four hits, recording four strikeouts and a walk. This time, Parker was pitching at Triple A Nashville, according to the San Francsico Chronicle

Parker underwent Tommy John surgery last March and is hoping to make his return to a Major League mound around the end of May, though a definitive timetable has not been made available at this time.

Solid first week in minors for Rockies' Wilin Rosario
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(1:11 pm ET) Since being sent to Triple-A Albuquerque in the last week of April, Rockies first baseman Wilin Rosario has made a strong case to get a second look in Colorado at some point in the near future.

In seven games in the minors, Rosario is hitting .333 with three doubles, three runs scored and three RBI.

A's INF/OF Ben Zobrist (knee) playing catch, could return late May
by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer
(1:08 pm ET) Athletics utility man Ben Zobrist has already reportedly begun playing catch on Sunday, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Zobrist underwent knee surgery on April 27 and could be back to the team by the end of May.

The A's have a 3-5 record since Zobrist went on the disabled list with the knee injury.

Dodgers' set-up man Yimi Garcia on scoreless streak
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(1:05 pm ET) Dodgers reliever Yimi Garcia isn't getting many opportuntities for saves, but he's getting batters out.

Garcia has picked up two wins and a save this season, but most of his appearances have come during key moments in the seventh and eighth innings. While he doesn't get credit in the major stat categories, his performance has been close to perfect.

Garcia has a 0.66 ERA and hasn't given up a run since April 7.

A's OF Crisp plays first rehab game, expected to return this week
by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer
(1:00 pm ET) Athletics outfielder Coco Crisp played in his first of two rehab games on Sunday and went 1 for 3 with a walk and an RBI for Class A Stockton. Crisp, who is recovering from an elbow injury, is expected to play one more rehab game before rejoining the A's this week in Minneosta, according to the San Francsico Chronicle.

Crisp has yet to play a game for the A's this season after undergoing arthroscopic sugery in early April to remove bone chips from his elbow.

Phillies' Freddy Galvis having no problems replacing Jimmy Rollins
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(12:42 pm ET) Phillies' shortstop Freddy Galvis struck out on Friday night, the first time in 29 at bats that he'd fanned.

Galvis is hitting .341 this season, and making replacing a team icon look easy. Jimmy Rollins, the longtime Phillies shortstop now with the Dodgers, is hitting just .176 and has 21 strikeouts this season, compared to Galvis' six.

Braves OF Nick Markakis off to a rough start in May
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(12:33 pm ET) Braves outfielder Nick Markakis is off to a rough start in May. He hit hitless through the first three games (12 at-bats) and has five strikeouts in that span.

It comes on the heels of Markakis having a strong finish to April. He hit .396 with a .515 on-base percentage, .453 slugging percentage and .968 OPS in his last 15 April games. Markakis had 13 walks in that span.

Rockies to decide on Adam Ottavino's elbow on Monday
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com
(12:32 pm ET) Rockies closer Adam Ottavino will meet with the team's medical director on Monday, to learn the treatment plan for his triceps and elbow injury.

Ottavino is on the 15-day disabled list with an inflamed tricepts tendon, but an MRI last week showed the inflammation continues into the elbow, raising the concern that Tommy John surgery may be required.

"Nobody has said anything concretely about anything," Ottavino said, per MLB.com. "Until you are evaluated by a doctor … Those are the people who make those calls."

John Axford is filling in as closer. He has three saves and hasn't allowed a run, although with the Rockies in the midst of a five-game losing streak, he hasn't taken the mound since April 27.

Phillies LF Ben Revere goes 3 for 5 in loss on Sunday
by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer
(12:28 pm ET) After a sluggish start to the 2015 season, Phillies left fielder Ben Revere may be starting to turn things around. He went 3 for 5 with an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's loss to the Marlins. Revere now has hits in eight of his last nine games (the only game he didn't record a hit was April 30, a game in which he did not start).

Over that nine-game stretch, Revere is hitting .353 with a double, a triple and four RBI, batting mostly from the leadoff spot in the lineup. He'll look to continue his hot-hitting ways when the Phillies open a three-game series against the Braves in Atlanta on Monday. He is a lifetime .444 hitter (4 for 9) against Braves' starter Alex Wood, who is expected to toe the rubber on Monday.
