Mariners' Fernando Rodney gets win after blowing save

(12:03 am ET) Mariners closer Fernando Rodney blew his second save of the year but earned the win over Tampa Bay on Tuesday.

Rodney snapped a string of 11 straight save opportunities converted, blowing his first save since April 14. He was unable to preserve a three-run lead, allowing the first four runners to reach base in the ninth. 

Rodney allowed three runs on three hits. He walked one and hit a batter. 

The Mariners scored the game-winning run in the tenth to give Rodney the win, improving his record to 2-2. 


X-rays negative on wrist of Indians 1B Carlos Santana

(12:03 am ET) Indians first baseman Carlos Santana was hit by a pitch on the wrist during the ninth inning of Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Rangers, but X-rays came back negative, reports the Northeast Ohio Media Group.

Santana went 0 for 3 and he remained in the game after being hit.


Rays' Alex Colome gives up two runs in no-decision

(5/26/2015) Rays starter Alex Colome gave up two runs in 5 1/3 innings but left with a no-decision on Tuesday. 

Colome allowed  five hits and walked two batters, while striking out three. 

Colome's next start is Monday at the Angels. 


Mariners' J.A. Happ earns third straight no-decision

(5/26/2015) Mariners starter J.A. Happ allowed three runs in six innings but left with a no-decision, his third straight start without being credited with a win or charged with a loss.

Happ gave up seven hits and walked one, while striking out three. It's also his third straight outing with exactly three strikeouts. 

Happ's next start will be Sunday, against Cleveland. 


Cubs OF Dexter Fowler blasts HR in win over Nationals

(5/26/2015) Cubs outfielder Dexter Fowler hit an early home run in Tuesday night's 3-2 win over the Nationals. 

Fowler went yard in the bottom of the first inning on a 2-2 pitch to right field. It gave Fowler his sixth homer of the season. Fowler finished the game 1 for 4 and snapped a two game hitless streak. 

He now has a slash line of .251/.342/.433. 


Cubs 3B Kris Bryant hits eighth-inning HR in win

(5/26/2015) Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant hit his seventh home run of the season in Tuesday night's 3-2 win over the Nationals. 

Bryant tied the game up at 2-2 in the eighth inning after hitting a solo homer off of Aaron Barrett. Bryant has now homered twice in his past five games. Though he's showed some power in this span, he's only hitting a batting average of .238 during this stretch. 

Bryant finished the game 1 for 4. He now has a slash line of .289/.402/.504. 


Cardinals OF Randal Grichuk drives in two runs Tuesday

(5/26/2015) Cardinals outfielder Randal Grichuk smacked his second home run of the season to help lead the Cardinals to a 6-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

He went 2 for 3 during the game with two RBI. Grichuk connected on a solo home run off Archie Bradley in the second inning. He also drove in another run when he singled in Jason Heyward in the fourth.

Grichuk is 10 for 27 with one home run and six RBI in his last eight games.


Luis Valbuena leads Astros with two hits, two RBI

(5/26/2015) Astros third baseman Luis Valbuena went 2 for 4 with two RBI in Tuesday's win over Baltimore. 

Valbuena drove in his first runs in seven games and hit his sixth double of the year. 

Valbuena now has 18 RBI this year. 


Nationals OF Denard Span now on pace for double-digit homers

(5/26/2015) Nationals outfielder Denard Span hit his fifth home run of the season in Tuesday night's 3-2 loss to the Cubs. 

Span finished the game 2 for 4, with his homer happening in the top of the eighth inning. Span has never hit more than eight home runs in a season and is currently on pace to hit 18 this year. 

This is Span's 11th multi-hit game in his past 19 outings. 


Orioles' Jimmy Paredes gets three hits in loss

(5/26/2015) Orioles designated hitter Jimmy Paredes went 3 for 4 in Tuesday's loss to Houston. 

Paredes recorded his second three-hit game in his last five and third multi-hit game over that span. He added his eighth double of the season and scored the Orioles' only run of the night.
