by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(1:42 pm ET) A wrist fracture caused the Astros to place outfielder George Springer on the 15-day disabled list Thursday, the team announced.

Springer suffered the injury when he was hit on the wrist by a pitch from Edison Volquez during Wednesday's game.

He is expected to be sidelined for at least six weeks, reports the Houston Chronicle. He will first be reevaluated in two weeks and then again in six weeks.

"It's possible at the six-week mark he'll be healed enough to get back to playing baseball," general manager Jeff Luhnow said

“I feel like I’m at a point where this is who I’m going to be as a pitcher and have learned to pitch with what I have now,” Harrison said late Wednesday, per the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “It may get better as the year goes or may not, but I’m confident in myself about getting out there and getting outs.”

It is not known yet when Harrison will make his next start.
