Preseason Outlook

Even though Winn continued to get everyday at-bats in 2009, he experienced his sharpest decline yet, his numbers falling in every category -- including significant drops in home runs and batting average -- and his OPS dipping from .790 to .671. Even the Giants, as desperate as they are for offense, didn't want him back. We figure he will share the left-field duties with younger and speedier Brett Gardner at least initially. Consider Winn no longer a viable pick in a standard mixed league, but he could prove to be a nice sleeper in AL-only formats with the offensively potent Yankees and in that homer-friendly park.
