Chavez getting closer to start: Toronto general manager Alex Anthopoulos said on Wednesday that pitchers Drew Hutchison and Jesse Chavez have moved ahead of Joel Carreno in the pecking order to be the fifth starter going forward, reports the National Post. The Blue Jays need a starter for Saturday at Kansas City and right now that decision is between Hutchison and Chavez, though Carreno could get back in the running before all is said and done.
