Fantasy Analysis
DeWitt was once a promising prospect with the Dodgers, but he couldn't hold onto a starting job with Los Angeles and had trouble emerging as a full-time player with the Cubs. He is likely to latch on with another team, but ignore DeWitt in Fantasy until further notice. (Updated 02/06/2012).
01/25/2012 12:05 Positional and pitching eligibility for 2012
Plenty of position players and pitchers with eligibility changes entering 2012. We've got the complete listings for multi-eligible players, starting and relief pitchers and more for your league setup.
Blake DeWitt will once again give the Cubs an outstanding utility presence in 2012. DeWitt played all over the diamond for the Cubs last season and should give new manager Dale Sveum the same kind of security this year as a 26-year-old. DeWitt played in 121 games last year and saw 230 at-bats. He hit .265 with five homers, 26 RBI and 21 runs scored. DeWitt is never going to be a top Fantasy option, but he's a helpful addition to many NL-only rosters. (Updated 2/6/12)
