| (1/6/11) The Brewers signed OF Brandon Jones to a minor league deal on Wednesday, according to Baseball America. Jones last played in the major leagues with the Braves in 2009. He was traded from the Pirates to Detroit last August and batted .258 in 97 at-bats with Double-A Erie last season. |

They called up hurler Brian Burres, selected RHP Brian Bass's contract and put Chris Jakubauskas on the 15-day disabled list. |
