| Adam Rosales denied second homer by questionable call |
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com (5/8/13) Athletics shortstop Adam Rosales hit what appeared to be the game-tying home run in the ninth inning of Wednesday's game against the Indians. But he was denied his second homer of the season by a questionable replay review that failed to overturn the original double call.
Rosales would finish the game, from which manager Bob Melvin was ejected, stranded in scoring position in a 4-3 loss. He's hitting .293 while playing the role of regular starter since joining the team in late April.

| Adam Rosales activated from disabled list |
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com (4/25/13) The Athletics announced Thursday infielder Adam Rosales has been activated from the 15-day disabled list. He was on the DL with a strained intercostal muscle that has kept him out of major-league action this season.
Rosales hit .320/.370/.520 with one home run in 25 at-bats during a six-game rehab assignment. Andy Parrino was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

| Adam Rosales could return Thursday |
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com (4/24/13) Athletics manager Bob Melvin said infielder Adam Rosales (intercostal strain) could be activated off the disabled list as soon as Thursday, per MLB.com. Rosales is batting .320 (8 for 25) with one home run, one RBI and two doubles in six rehab games between Class A and Triple-A.

| Adam Rosales likely out until next homestand |
by Adam Moore | CBSSports.com (4/19/13) Athletics infielder Adam Rosales, on the 15-day disabled list with a strained intercostal muscle, will likely remain on a rehab assignment until the team returns from its six-game road trip, the San Francisco Chronicle reported Friday. Oakland is scheduled to begin a six-game homestand on April 25 against the Orioles.
Rosales has gone 4 for 8 with a double in his first two games for Class A Stockton.

| Adam Rosales goes 1 for 3 in first rehab game |
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com (4/18/13) Athletics infielder Adam Rosales went 1 for 3 in his first rehab game with the team's High-A affiliate Wednesday night. He played five innings in the field for the Stockton Ports before being replaced.

| Having served as Oakland's utility infielder for the last three seasons, Adam Rosales is set to reprise the role in 2013. Rosales is versatile, and he has started at least one game at each of the infield position for four years running. That versatility ensures that Rosales will see some playing time, though probably not enough to make him relevant in most Fantasy leagues. He doesn't steal bases, and his power, contact and on-base skills are not especially noteworthy. Rosales won't even help owners with multi-position eligibility, as he will only be eligible at second base in standard leagues on CBSSports.com. Only owners in deep AL-only leagues should look at Rosales, and even in those formats, he is a late-round option. (Updated 1/8/13) |
