| Twins activate Anthony Swarzak from 15-day DL |

(4/7/13) The Twins have activated reliever Anthony Swarzak from the 15-day disabled list, the club announced Sunday.
Swarzak spent the spring recovering from two fractured ribs and didn't play in spring training. He's expected to work a middle relief role this season. Last year, he posted a 5.03 ERA (81 ERA+) over 39 relief appearances and five starts with a 2.0 K/BB.

(4/3/13) Twins reliever Anthony Swarzak has been forced to delay his rehab from a rib injury due to wisdom teeth removal, ESPN Minneapolis reports.
Swarzak suffered two fractured ribs in an off-field incident in the offseason. He did not play for the Twins in spring training but will embark on a rehab assignment soon. There is no firm timetable for his return to the majors.

(4/2/13) Twins pitcher Anthony Swarzak, on the disabled list to open the season due to a rib injury, pitched in extended spring training Tuesday.
He threw four innings and 50 pitches in a rehab start, and reported no issues. No timeline has been established for his return, but he is close to moving on to a minor-league rehab assignment, according to the Star-Tribune.

(3/20/13) Twins pitcher Anthony Swarzak faced live batters for the first time this spring Wednesday, throwing all his pitches in a 10-minute session.
"It felt good," Swarzak told the Star-Tribune. "I was throwing everything. I still have a little tweaking to do here and there. But it felt good."
Swarzak is expected to begin the season on the disabled list.
"We have to get his arm strength built up before he can do anything for us," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said. "That is going to take a little while."
