(12/5/13) The Nationals have interest in relief pitcher Eric O'Flaherty, the Washington Post reports. The team has not yet extended an offer to the lefty, but the two sides have maintained a dialogue.
O'Flaherty is recovering from Tommy John surgery and will miss at least the first month of the season. He went 3-0 with a 2.50 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 11:5 K:BB ratio in 18 innings with the Braves before going under the knife.

(11/6/13) In addition to Brian McCann, who was extended a qualifying offer, and Tim Hudson, who was not, the Braves have had several players file for free agency, including starting pitcher Paul Maholm, relief pitcher Eric O'Flaherty, relief pitcher Luis Ayala, relief pitcher Kameron Loe, relief pitcher Scott Downs and starting pitcher Freddy Garcia.

(5/20/13) Braves reliever Eric O'Flaherty will undergo Tommy John surgery Tuesday, the Atlanta Journal- Constitution reports. It will be performed by Dr. James Andrews.
The normal recovery time from Tommy John surgery is about a year.

(5/19/13) Braves reliever Eric O'Flaherty, who has been diagnosed with a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his elbow, said Sunday he hopes he will not need Tommy John surgery, but that he's not getting a good vibe from the doctors, according to MLB.com. O'Flaherty added he was not shocked to learn of the ligament tear since the elbow has occasionally bothered him since late last year.
