Preseason Outlook

When the Marlins acquired Miller in the Miguel Cabrera deal, he was an inexperienced lefty with electric stuff. More than two years later, nothing has changed. He's still a lefty, and he still has electric stuff, but he can't get the experience he needs because he's far too erratic for the Marlins to stick with him. His control hasn't looked any better in the minors, giving you reason to believe he might have regressed since the trade. Sooner or later, the 24-year-old will put it all together -- hopefully, anyway -- but considering his career 5.50 ERA and 1.659 WHIP, you can leave him for NL-only leagues. He might not even win a rotation spot. (Updated 1/22/10)
