| Scott Elbert nearing a return |
by Ed Gauna | CBSSports.com (5/7/13) Scott Elbert could rejoin the Dodgers' bullpen within seven to 10 days after making a rehab appearance for Class A Rancho Cucamonga on Friday, MLB.com reports.
The left-hander threw in an extended spring training game over the weekend as he continues to recover from an elbow injury.
"I've adjusted my mechanics so I'd have less stress throwing," he said. "Now I feel I'm throwing from my legs and not just my arm."
Elbert added that his adjustments have made a difference in how he feels the day after throwing.
"It's made such a difference bouncing back," Elbert said. "Now I don't even feel like I played catch the next day. Today I didn't hold back. I feel I would have competed if I had pitched in a game tonight. Knowing that gives me confidence when I come back and they shouldn't be scared to put me back in the situations I used to pitch, but we'll see."

| Scott Elbert responding well to PRP injection |
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com (4/14/13) Dodgers reliever Scott Elbert, on the 15-day disabled list with a left elbow injury, continues to make progress.
Elbert, who received a PRP injection during spring training, has been throwing hard on flat ground and could be ready to throw off a mound in a week or two, MLB.com reports.
"I'm definitely a lot better, either from the PRP or the shoulder exercises, which also help the elbow because everything is incorporated," Elbert said. "I wasn't able to throw more than 75 feet in spring training, but I'm up to 90 feet now and my mechanics are a lot better."
