| Colby Rasmus on the bench |
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com (6/18/13) Blue Jays outfielder Colby Rasmus is not in the team's starting lineup Tuesday against the Rockies.
Rasmus will be replaced by Rajai Davis, who will hit sixth against Jeff Francis. Rasmus is hitting .249/316/.472 in 229 at-bats. He should return to the lineup Wednesday against Juan Nicasio.

| Colby Rasmus keeps belting home runs |
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com (6/17/13) Blue Jays outfielder Colby Rasmus homered for a third straight game Sunday against the Rangers. It's the first time Rasmus has homered in three straight games this season, but the third time he's homered in at least two straight games.
Rasmus is batting .267 (8 for 30) with one triple, four home runs and nine RBI in his last eight games.
Rasmus has been on a roll offensively since late May. He's batting .289 (26 for 90) with a .589 slugging percentage, .932 OPS, one triple, four doubles, seven home runs and 18 RBI in his last 24 games (22 starts).

| Colby Rasmus out of lineup |
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com (6/11/13) Blue Jays outfielder Colby Rasmus is not in the team's starting lineup Tuesday against the White Sox.
Rasmus hit a home run Monday, and is likely receiving a normal day off Tuesday. He'll be replaced by Rajai Davis, who will hit fifth during the game. Rasmus is hitting .255/.318/.453 in 212 at-bats this year. He should return Wednesday against Chris Sale.

| Colby Rasmus goes 3 for 8 |
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com (6/8/13) Blue Jays center fielder Colby Rasmus went 3 for 8 with a triple Saturday against the Rangers and was the only member of his team to pick up an extra-base hit in a 4-3, 18-inning win.
The Blue Jays added 14 more hits and five walks in the game, but only Rasmus hit something other than a single. After going 0 for 9 in his previous three games, Rasmus has hit .254/.313/.444 with nine home runs and 29 RBI this season.

| Colby Rasmus making contact less |
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com (6/7/13) Blue Jays outfielder Colby Rasmus has struggled to make contact this season.
Rasmus has a career 76.1 contact rate, but that number has dropped to just 69.1 percent this year. That ranks as one of the worst rates in the league among regulars. Rasmus' performance has improved based on his last two years, but he has failed to reach the heights of his 2010 success. Rasmus has shown improved power, leading him to be a popular pickup in Fantasy leagues. While the power surge could continue, Rasmus might not be a candidate to hit for this high an average considering his crazy 32.4 percent strikeout rate and .342 BABIP.

Wang, Blue Jays finish sweep of slumping Rangers
Chien-Ming Wang won for the first time in more than a year, Colby Rasmus homered for a third straight game, and the Toronto Blue Jays completed a four-game of sweep by beating the Texas Rangers 7-2 on Sunday for their fifth straight victory.

| Colby Rasmus struggled to hit for average in his first full season in Toronto but showed he has the potential to be a solid run producer in Fantasy. He hit 17 homers with 53 RBI in the first half and ended up batting .223 with 23 long balls and 75 RBI while playing in a career-high 151 games. While his slugging percentage fell off a cliff after the All-Star break, Rasmus has the potential to hit close to 30 home runs and could reach that mark in 2013. The Blue Jays bulked up their lineup in the offseason, so the 26-year-old should also see plenty of men on base when he gets to the plate. It's possible he could see a boost in some of his numbers with the added protection in the lineup, but Rasmus is an extreme hot-and-cold hitter. He's a mid-to-late round selection on Draft Day.
