Preseason Outlook

Gallagher looked like a pretty good prospect when he went from the Cubs to the Athletics in the Rich Harden trade a couple years ago, but he was a disaster in Oakland and ended up in another trade, this time to San Diego. He has a chance to win a rotation spot this spring, but considering his control problems, he's better off going to the minors. At age 24, he still has time to get his act together and become a decent strikeout guy in the majors, but you can pretty much avoid him in Fantasy. He might wind up in the bullpen. (Updated 1/26/10)
