(3/7/14) Nationals pitcher Ross Ohlendorf is feeling better Friday, according to MASN.
Ohlendorf had to leave Thursday's game with back spasms, but it's not considered to be serious. Manager Matt Williams said the team doesn't believe there are any structural issues with Ohlendorf's back.
Ohlendorf posted a 3.28 ERA in 60 1/3 innings last year.

(3/6/14) Nationals pitcher Ross Ohlendorf was forced out of Thursday night's Grapefruit League game against Atlanta due to back spasms, according to the Washington Post.
Manager Matt Williams told the paper that Ohlendorf experienced lower back spasms when he faced his first batter. He allowed two runs on three hits and one walk without retiring a batter in the sixth inning. He'll be re-evaluated in the morning on Friday.
|After brutal seasons in 2011 and 2012, Ross Ohlendorf had to earn his way back into the majors. He signed a minor-league deal with the Nationals last January and would spend the first few months in the minors before Ohlendorf finally got his chance to return to the majors in mid-June. Ohlendorf won his season debut June 12, but he was moved to the bullpen and made only one more spot start before he landed on the disabled list in early August with a shoulder injury. Prior to getting hurt, Ohlendorf had a 1.85 ERA in 10 appearances (two starts). When he returned in late August the results weren't the same, as he went 2-1 with a 5.13 ERA in his final six appearances (five starts). Ohlendorf showed some potential earlier in his career, but he's struggled for the most part since being an 11-game winner in 2009. Ohlendorf will likely open the year as a long reliever for Washington, so he can be left off most Fantasy rosters until further notice.
