Patton leaving team for short period: Orioles reliever Troy Patton is scheduled to leave the team on Thursday in order to fly to Texas for orientation on a court-ordered drug and alcohol class, reports MLB.com on Tuesday. This stems from his offseason DUI charges. Patton should return in time for the Tigers game on Friday. (Updated 09/20/2011)
