(8/24/14) Giants outfielder Gregor Blanco left the yard during Sunday's game against the Nationals.
Blanco launched a leadoff home run off Stephen Strasburg. He added a triple in the sixth inning. He finished 2 for 5 with two runs scored and an RBI in a 14-6 defeat. He owns a .252/.326/.333 slash line with two home runs and 23 RBI in 282 at-bats.

Blanco managed two hits in his last game, but is 5 for 28 since June 25.

(7/3/14) Giants outfielder Hunter Pence may be moved to the leadoff spot for a couple games, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Following Wednesday's game, manager Bruce Bochy said Gregor Blanco would be moved from the leadoff spot, with Pence taking his place. Once Brandon Belt returns from the disabled list, he would likely hit second, behind Pence.
“I’ll probably drop [Blanco] down in the order until he gets his swing,” Bochy said. Blanco had been filling in for Angel Pagan, who has been sidelined with an injury. It's unclear whether Pence and Belt will retain their spots in the order once Pagan is able to return.

(6/18/14) Giants outfielder Gregor Blanco went 3 for 4 with a walk, a double, one run and one RBI in his team's 7-6 loss to the White Sox Wednesday.
Blanco hasn't been an extra-base threat this season, as Wednesday's double was just his third of the year to go along with three triples and no home runs. His three-hit performance was just his second of the season. Blanco has hit .263/.346/.339 with 15 RBI and six stolen bases in 118 at-bats.

(6/9/14) Giants outfielder Gregor Blanco doubled, singled and drove in three runs in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Mets. He's hitting .253 with no homers and 13 RBI in 87 at-bats.
|Gregor Blanco appeared in 141 games for the Giants for a second straight season in 2013, proving to be a valuable asset, especially when center fielder Angel Pagan missed several months due to a hamstring injury. Blanco hit .265 with a .341 on-base percentage, while posting career highs in doubles (17), triples (six) and RBI (41). He also had three home runs, 14 stolen bases and 50 runs. Blanco will probably start the year as a fourth outfielder with Pagan, Michael Morse and Hunter Pence making up the starting outfield alignment. But as the Giants have shown the last two seasons, they are going to find ways to get Blanco into the lineup and he could end up spelling Morse against tough right-handed starters. Blanco doesn't have great Fantasy upside, however, so he's more of a deep-league option.
