Brewers' Chris Perez will know his future by Wednesday
|by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com|
|(3/18/15) Brewers veteran reliever Chris Perez will know his fate by next Wednesday. The club will decide if he will be added to the club's 40-man roster, assigned to Triple-A, or released, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Perez signed a minor-league contract with an invitation to major-league camp with the Brewers in early February. He is 1-1 with a 3.38 ERA over 5 1/3 innings this spring.
"This year has been a little different because I don't have a spot," Perez said. "I'm still taking the same approach. Regardless, I have to get ready for the season. It doesn't matter where it's at.
"Each time out, I’m feeling a little better, a little sharper, a little crisper. Spring training is weird. (Tuesday) was probably the worst I've felt playing catch in the morning. I was a little stiff after the off day (Monday). But it was a hot day, which is good, and I threw the ball OK. I was ahead (in the count) more. The goal is to improve every time out."

|(2/4/15) The Brewers have signed pitcher Chris Perez to a minor-league contract with an invitation to major-league camp, the team announced Wednesday.
Perez made two consecutive All-Star teams as a closer with Cleveland in 2011-2012 but recorded just one save with the Dodgers in 2014 while posting a 4.27 ERA and 39:25 K:BB ratio in 46 1/3 innings. The seven-year veteran has recorded 133 career saves and posted a 3.51 ERA in 379 1/3 career innings.
Dodgers make September call-ups

|(9/1/14) The Dodgers recalled outfielder Joc Pederson, second baseman Alex Guererro, catcher Tim Federowicz and pitcher Yimi Garcia Monday with rosters expanding in September.
Pederson closed out his first season with Triple-A Albuquerque by hitting .303/.435/.582 with 33 home runs, 78 RBI and 30 stolen bases in 445 at-bats.
In addition, the team activated pitcher Chris Perez from the disabled list. Perez has been out since Aug. 3 while nursing an ankle injury.
Chris Perez does not expect to be 100 percent

|(8/22/14) Though he expects to be in the majors when rosters expand Sept. 1, Dodgers reliever Chris Perez admitted to the Orange County Register Friday his ankle is still not 100-percent healthy.
"It's serviceable," Perez said. "I feel good. I'm still trying to build up the strength in it."
Perez has a 5.03 ERA in the majors this season, and is trying to work his way back from bone spurs in his ankle. He does not expect to undergo surgery to remove them, so he will have to manage the pain. He is currently on a rehab assignment at Class A Rancho Cucamonga, where he will make one more appearance next Friday.
