|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
|(9/1/14) The Dodgers recalled outfielder Joc Pederson, second baseman Alex Guererro, catcher Tim Federowicz and pitcher Yimi Garcia Monday with rosters expanding in September.
Pederson closed out his first season with Triple-A Albuquerque by hitting .303/.435/.582 with 33 home runs, 78 RBI and 30 stolen bases in 445 at-bats.
In addition, the team activated pitcher Chris Perez from the disabled list. Perez has been out since Aug. 3 while nursing an ankle injury.
Chris Perez does not expect to be 100 percent

|(8/22/14) Though he expects to be in the majors when rosters expand Sept. 1, Dodgers reliever Chris Perez admitted to the Orange County Register Friday his ankle is still not 100-percent healthy.
"It's serviceable," Perez said. "I feel good. I'm still trying to build up the strength in it."
Perez has a 5.03 ERA in the majors this season, and is trying to work his way back from bone spurs in his ankle. He does not expect to undergo surgery to remove them, so he will have to manage the pain. He is currently on a rehab assignment at Class A Rancho Cucamonga, where he will make one more appearance next Friday.

Chris Perez tosses perfect inning in rehab assignment

|(8/19/14) Dodgers pitcher Chris Perez began a rehab assignment with high Class A Rancho Cucamonga Monday, tossing a 1-2-3 inning.
Perez is working his way back from bone spurs in his right ankle. He owns a 5.03 ERA and 30:21 K:BB ratio in 39 1/3 innings.
Dodgers make several roster moves Monday
|by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com|
|(8/4/14) The Dodgers made a several roster moves prior to Monday's game at home against the Angels.
The team placed reliever Chris Perez on 15-day disabled list due to bone spurs in his right ankle and selected contract of reliever Carlos Frias from Triple-A Albuquerque. In order to create room on the 40-man roster for Frias, the team also transferred pitcher Paul Maholm to the 60-day disabled list.
|Chris Perez would surely like to put a miserable 2013 behind him. The season started off innocuously enough, but a May trip to the disabled list for a rotator cuff injury was just the beginning of trouble. Perez was charged and convicted of having marijuana shipped to his home, and he finished the season in a funk, posting a 7.52 ERA with three blown saves over the final two months. The Indians let their closer go in October, releasing Perez rather than offering him arbitration. The Dodgers added him to their bullpen, signing him to a one-year deal, but he appears to be headed for a setup role behind Kenley Jansen and Brian Wilson. Perez is a decent strikeout pitcher, but his main value now lies in holds. If your league doesn't include that stat as a category, you can take Perez off your radar on Draft Day.
