(3/23/13) Indians outfielder Matt Carson suffered a forehead laceration and a neck strain when he crashed into the right field wall in Saturday's Cactus League game against the Mariners, MLB.com reports. Carson, who is hitting .250 this spring, is considered day-to-day.

(3/23/13) Indians outfielder Matt Carson left Saturday's Cactus League game against the Mariners after running into the right field wall. Carson was down on the ground for a few minutes but was able to get up before being carted off the field. He went 0 for 3 with a strikeout before the early exit and is batting .250 this spring.

(8/31/12) The Twins recalled outfielder Matt Carson from Triple-A Rochester on Friday to provide depth to their ailing outfield. Carson was optioned to the minors Aug. 23 after a five-game stint with Minnesota.

Carroll's RBI hit gives Twins win
Jamey Carroll hit an RBI single in the 10th inning and the Minnesota Twins beat Detroit 2-1 Sunday, winning both games of a doubleheader to prevent the Tigers from at least tying the Chicago White Sox atop the AL Central.
