Rowell banned 50 games: Baltimore prospect William Rowell was suspended 50 games for a second violation of the minor-league drug prevention program for a drug of abuse, the team announced Monday. He is the third Orioles minor-league player to be suspended for the violation. Rowell was attempting to transition to pitcher this season after a lackluster attempt as an infielder.
