Reds cut eight on Sunday: The Cincinnati Enquirer reports the Reds optioned pitcher Andrew Brackman, outfielder Denis Phipps and infielder Chris Valaika to Triple-A Louisville on Sunday. The team also reassigned pitchers Carlos Fisher, Ron Mahay, Clayton Tanner, Kanekoa Texeira and Clay Zavada to minor-league camp. (Updated 03/25/2012)
