Preseason Outlook

Just when Bradley looked like he had gotten his career on track, producing a league-leading .999 OPS and earning his first trip to the All-Star game, he ran into more of the same old problems after joining the Cubs last year. He battled injury, inconsistency and attitude, the last one ultimately bringing about his demise in mid-September, when the Cubs asked him to leave the team after he told a newspaper "you understand why they haven't won in 100 years here." He gets a fresh start -- for about the seventh time in his career -- in Seattle, where the low-pressure environment might help him meet his full potential, the potential he showed in Texas two years ago. Then again, since you know injuries will limit him to less than 500 at-bats -- as they have every year since 2004 -- you can wait until the late rounds to draft him even under the most optimistic projection.
