Fantasy Analysis
Towles will provide insurance in case Joe Mauer goes down with an injury, though the Twins have already signed Ryan Doumit to be the second-string catcher. Towles does have a little bit of power, but he doesn't hit for average, and he is unlikely to see much, if any, playing time. He can be ignored in all formats. (Updated 12/15/2011).
