Nick Punto starting to get offensive
by Jeff Lippman | CBSSports.com
(5/13/13) Dodgers infielder Nick Punto drove in his eighth run of the season Sunday in a 5-3 win over the Marlins. Punto went 1 for 2 in the game with a walk and a run scored.

Punto's sacrifice fly in the fourth inning gave the Dodgers a 2-0 lead at the time. Having played 10 games in May, Punto has gone 9 for 33 (.273) with a homer and six RBI. He only had two RBI over his first 18 games and 35 at-bats.

Nick Punto connects for first home run
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(5/8/13) Dodgers utility infielder Nick Punto did his best Tuesday to help Los Angeles beat Arizona. Unfortunately, his efforts fell short.

Punto homered and hit a game-tying RBI double in the seventh inning, but Arizona still managed a 5-3 win. Punto's second-inning home run, his first with the Dodgers, gave him as many through the first 32 games as slugger Matt Kemp, who hit a career-high 39 two years ago. Punto extended his home run streak to 12 consecutive seasons -- nine of which he has had only one. In 998 major-league games, he has hit a home run 16 times in 2,818 regular-season at-bats, including a career-high four in 2005 with Minnesota.

"I've seen him do that before. Unfortunately for him, it hasn't happened too many times," said Arizona outfielder Jason Kubel, who played with Punto for seven seasons in Minnesota. "He hits balls hard in BP, so I know it's there. He knows he can."

Punto is batting .387 (12 for 31) with one home run, two doubles and five RBI in his last nine games (six starts).

Nick Punto hits .400 in April
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(5/1/13) Dodgers infielder Nick Punto managed his second multi-hit game in his last three appearances and his fifth of the season Tuesday against the Rockies. Punto hit .400 (14 for 35) with one double, two RBI and six walks in 18 April games.
Nick Punto collects two hits, stolen base in first start
by Ed Gauna | CBSSports.com
(4/7/13) Dodgers infielder Nick Punto made his first start of the season in Sunday's series finale against the Pirates. Playing second base and batting second, he went 2 for 2 with a walk and a pair of runs scored. Punto also stole a base in a 6-2 win.

The 35-year-old is 3 for 5 (.600).
Punto part of blockbuster deal
by Al Melchior | Data Analyst
(8/25/12) The Dodgers have put the finishing touches on a deal that sees them acquire utility infielder Nick Punto as part of a megadeal with the Red Sox. The deal is officially done now, reports the Los Angeles Times. In addition to Punto, the Dodgers will receive first baseman Adrian Gonzalez, outfielder Carl Crawford and starting pitcher Josh Beckett, and roughly $12 million, while the Red Sox will get first baseman James Loney, starting pitcher Rubby De La Rosa, outfielder Jerry Sands, second baseman Ivan De Jesus and starting pitching prospect Allen Webster.
