Glaus' playing days over: After sitting out the entire 2011 season, longtime slugger Troy Glaus said he is retired, according to ESPN.com. Glaus spent 13 years in the majors and played for five different teams after breaking into the league with the Angels in 1998. He drilled 320 homers and 950 RBI in his career, while posting a .254 batting average. Glaus bashed at least 30 homers in five different seasons, including in three consecutive years (2000-02), and was selected to four All-Star Games.
