| (3/30/11) The Phillies released 2B Luis Castillo on Wednesday. For Castillo, it was the second time this spring he was released after being let go by the Mets on March 18. Castillo had been in competition with Wilson Valdez to begin the season as the team's starting 2B while Chase Utley deals with a knee injury.
