| Tim Byrdak makes first post-surgery appearance |

(6/1/13) Mets reliever Tim Byrdak threw an inning in extended spring training Saturday, his first appearance in a game since undergoing shoulder surgery in August.
Byrdak is working on a minor-league contract, and the team thinks he can be back in the majors by July, according to MLB.com.

(5/22/13) Mets reliever Tim Byrdak, rehabbing from shoulder surgery, threw his third bullpen session Wednesday.
Byrdak underwent surgery last September. He's still likely a month or two away from returning to the Mets.

(5/15/13) On Tuesday, Mets relief pitcher Tim Byrdak threw his first bullpen session since having surgery to repair a torn capsule in his shoulder, SportsNet New York reports. Manager Terry Collins is hoping to get Byrdak back from rehab in July.

Byrdak is recovering from surgery that repaired a torn capsule in his shoulder. Byrdak is hoping to ramp up his rehab the next two months, with hopes of pitching on a mound by June 1. He’s looking to rejoin the team in late June.
